i've spent money before and didn't really have any good responses. but it wasn't the most effective advertising either

i have been trying to contact some sites that get 1,000,000's of hits but they are dam slow to respond lol

but i will pay for advertising without thinking twice about it if i feel there may be some good responses.

Sounds like a way to make money, but that does seem kind of expensive.

Well...the $15 I had allocated to advertising is almost all spent, and I had several hundred thousand people see my banner, with 177 people clicking it.

...But no referrals.  Nobody actually registered/verified e-mail/did an offer.  My list of referrals is BLANK.

A lead-in to FusionCash?  Are you talking about just having a page that I write that describes FusionCash and how it works, with the referral link on that page?

I certainly wouldn't use FusionCash's banners that they provide.  Having "FREE MONEY" plastered on it is the best way to scare people away, because anyone with half a brain knows that there's no such thing as free money.  Instead, I would design a similar banner advertising getting paid for doing surveys.  Also, I DEFINITELY wouldn't claim "Earn hundreds in hours!" as the only way to pull that off would be to do every offer that requires a CC.  And again, the "Too good to be true" alarm goes off inside anyone who sees the banner.

I use my FC banner on a social networking site (not like FB or myspace) and I got over $90 in the past two months from referrals alone. The more I make the more people are lured into clicking my money it just keeps getting better :)

If it isn't FB or MySpace, what site is it that you have such good results?

Well my advertising money is almost all used up (87 cents left, to be exact).  The $15 got me 1 referral, earning me $1 for signing up and $2 for completing an offer.

I had discovered the Campaign feature of Project Wonderful, where instead of hand-picking websites to put my banner, I can just give it some criteria (Including how much traffic the site gets) for what kind of sites to show my banner, and how much I'm willing to spend per site, as well as what times of day to show my banner.  This helps me get more bang for my buck by not paying to have my banner shown during non-peak internet usage times.  I'm considering dropping another $15 into the advertising to play with this to try to get exposure to more expensive banner slots, but with limited time frames.  For example, I could advertise on a gaming site from just 3 PM to midnight.

The original $15 netted me two referrals, but one of them hasn't verified their e-mail or completed an offer, so he's worth nothing to me yet.

I'm investing another $10 into ads, but this time I'm being a little smarter about it.  I'm using the campaign feature to spread my banner everywhere that has an incredibly small bid of 10 cents per day, but has at least 1000 unique viewers a day, and only between 8 AM and 11 PM.  I've also put in a bid on the site that gave me the most hits per cent.  Its bidding is still surprisingly low.  There was another site that got my banner a lot of hits, but the bidding has gone up a LOT since the first time I put a bid on it.

Hopefully I'll get a good couple more referrals before the Dec 31 deadline for cashing out to get paid in January!

Hey Mac5, you DO know that just making a bunch of single-word posts, or posts consisting of just an emoticon won't earn you the $3 bonus for being active on the forums, right?  You're not really contributing to the discussion.

I think you shouldn't use the program your using. It sounds likes it a lot of  :bs:, people can out bid you so you lose any chances of getting hits from that site, plus the website can put your adds on any site they want unless you you that campaign manager. So i suggest you just go to your sites you visit make a banner sort of related to the site.(if its a cartooning site use a banner saying make easy cash for cartooning programs) And the same thing with the splash
page direct it towards your audience.  good luck though with your $10 you just reinvested, it sounds like you have a better plan then the last one.

If someone out-bids me, my banner doesn't show up, sure.  However, I don't get charged for time that my banner isn't being shown.

As for putting my banner on any site they want...so what?  Isn't that a GOOD thing?  That's the entire point of the Campaign feature: To give your ad maximum exposure with minimal effort!  I don't have to manually place bids on dozens of sites.  Instead, I give a criteria for what kinds of sites I want my banner on, and it bids for me on all the sites that match!

I mean, sure I suppose I could get more creative and create a larger variety of banners catered to different kinds of websites, but the 100K filesize limit is pretty restricting for an animated GIF of that size.

Seeing that I've gotten over 200 clicks on my banners, but only 2 actual referals, I'm thinking I really should create a splash page, just something that explains what FusionCash is, what it isn't, tips for using it, etc.  For example, FusionCash is NOT:

-A get rich quick scheme
-A scam
-Going to replace your job income

What it IS:

-A way to get a couple extra dollars
-Something to do while you do something else on the computer.  For example, I'll breeze through surveys while I wait for my turn while I play online Poker.

As for tips, I'd just include the tips from the offer crediting thread, as well as explanations on how to do the daily PTC, etc.

I'm just trying to figure out why I have so many people clicking my banner, seeing the FusionCash front page, but not registering.  The front page looks perfectly legit.  It doesn't promise huge sums of money for no effort, it doesn't look like its trying to be a get-rich-quick scheme.

I'm considering buying some banner ad space on a popular webcomic that I visit every day.  For $30 I can get 50,000 banner views.  If only 10 of them actually register, confirm their e-mail account, and do one offer, I'll break even.  That's only 0.02% of the people that see the banner.

Anyways, has anyone here ever bought ad space somewhere to get referrals and gotten any success?
