What do you all think happens when we die?

   I am just a young mother of 5,who wants to get the opinions ofanyone out there, on what happens to us when we pass.  Because it is so truly, UNKNOWN, I know I must keep my faith during rough times but, I want to hear what ya all think.

Like the bible says when you are dead you know nothing anymore. we return back from where we came from until Jesus returns which is the ground. From dust thou art and to dust shall thou return. no one is in heaven and no one will ever be in heaven except The Father and Jesus.. and the angels. that is it.

Haha so true!  Except in my grandmother's case, because she just passed away a few weeks ago at 102 and she'd already given away most of her things because she never expected to live that long...

I'm not religious I consider myself more spiritual.  No one really has the answer but this is my theory.  I believe in reincarnation.  I believe life is a lesson and while we are here on earth that we have lessons we need to learn to grow to become whatever perfection we need to achieve.  I believe in a higher power.  I believe that we keep coming back until we learn all the lessons we need to learn then when we are finished (graduate) then we can join that higher power of all knowledge and know all the answers we've always sought.

Probably, your body decays and serves as nourishment for the Earth.  Life goes on.  People miss you depending on the kind of person you were.  Others don't care.  No big deal.

Ever person has a soul, and it is the condition of that soul that determines whether you will spend an eternity enjoying the streets of gold, or the torments of hell. If one believes that Jesus Christ died on a cross for them personally and took away all their sins, and that he experienced hell for you and rose from it the third day and is in heaven preparing a place for them ( truly with all their heart, not just through the good times) then your soul, you, will spend an eternity in heaven with all the other saved people of the world, no longer experiencing hate, hurt, fear, etc. I'm going to heaven I will see my brother there, my grandparents, Moses, and most importantly I will worship at the feet of Jesus. It all depends on how you've lived your life and what you truly believe in. Believe in Jesus Christ and you'll get to the right place. That's all you really need to know.

As a Native American I share a belief system that is not at all common among non-NDNs.

We are taught that our Ancestors are always near-by watching and guiding us.
When we pray for guidance, it is these Ancestors who we speak with.

When we pray for others, it is Creator, whom we speak with.
Many of us, myself included, know that we will be provided for in what we truely need, and do not pray for ourselves.

Every action we take and every decision we make, reflects not only on ourselves, but on our Ancestors, and also upon all of our descendants. Either by bringing honor, shame or indifference.

When the time comes for us to "journey home", we then take our place with the Ancestors and take up our role as guides for our future generations.

I'm sorry you posted this, because it seems like you were looking for a holy answer that has God and all that crap, but I have to add to the "we just die" statement.  Honestly, I claim agnostic over atheist because I dont want to think we just die and nothing happens - that is the only thing beyond that I dont believe in God or a religion -  but if we just die, then we just die.  Because I dont want to think about the stupid heaven/hell crap.  Hell was a creation of Dante anyway, a fictional comedy writer btw! 
Just live your life to the best you can and treasure your time with your kids because they grow up too fast and move away anyway.  Think happy thoughts and never grow up!!!

I think this is wonderful I just came across this question, I just finished typing this up in my Bible Study class I post. Read 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. This is truth and we have the answers, it is up to you whether you will accept truth or not. God tells us exactly what happens. Jesus comes for the believers who are dead in Christ, then those who are here still living, Jesus comes and gets. Those that believe. If not the Bible clearly tells what happens also. It will not be good for those who do not believe in the Day of the Lord. This is truth. I know absolutely 100 %. God tells us everything. all we got to do is listen. We can not work for it, or earn it. We have to put our trust in God.
