Had no cable or internet on mon and tues. Missed my tablet so much. We had it fixed today we have comcast. Had no tv so read a book also have a dvd player so watched a movie anda documentary about the roosevelts really good . Amazing how i missed my tablet,dont have a smartphone now i know how lost people feel when something is wrong with their phone. Was looking for a radio in my house dont have one. Thought  about hearing the news one thing not to miss.

Other than no way to call out if there's an emergency, I sometimes really wish the internet was gone. I spend way too much time on my computer and phone. Some is good for my business, but often it is just boredom.

Pre-internet and social media was definitely a better place to grow up as a child. The ease of access to information and communication is definitely a benefit for work as you point out, but for the kids it is more of ease of access to bullying and couch potato disease.

I don't like it when there is a disconnect from the internet. These are extremely difficult times because I don't have all my files on my computer, but most of them are stored in the fastupload repository. Luckily such disconnections don't happen often and you can always use mobile internet to quickly upload pdf or download an archive.

You might want to check around for alternative providers. I have not had my Wi-Fi fail me for more than a few minutes (and that has been rare) since I switched providers to Ziply Fiber a few years ago and my bandwidth speed is 5X faster for less money.
