I have such a situation that my work makes me travel all over the world. Because of this, all my friends stayed in my hometown. I communicate with them on the Internet, but this still does not replace real communication. People, what do you do in such situations ? I make new friends in new cities, but it’s time to leave right away. So every time! It scares me that I have been traveling around the world all my life, but I will never find a person who will always be with me

The social media is everywhere.  If your job calls for you to travel quite a bit, check out all the media sites that everyone have and meet up that way.  It would keep you connected until next you are home.

Hi, I agree with the comment above, not everything is so sad. Now there are many opportunities absolutely everywhere. Do you like to travel? You are already working and traveling at the same time! This is great! Do you like to communicate? So you already have many friends all over the world. You can find people ahead of time just by knowing where you are going. I am 53 and before people did not have such opportunities at all. Now there are a bunch of dating sites where you can find not only friends, people with common interests, but also your future soul mate. Maybe this site datingsitesforseniors.com.au  will help you. On this site, I found myself new friends and have never regretted it.

Video call on WhatsApp. We tried discord which also has a video feature but many of school friends couldn't do it so...

I am an introvert, so having very many friends isn't a priority. I do have many "friends" on FB. I am happy with that. My husband is my traveling companion and my best friend. I would find it exciting to have new acquaintances all over the country. It wouldn't bother me to not have close friends. However, I know for some it is hard.

I travel often for work as well, but luckily I have a homebase in MA that I always return to. I would visit my close friends in places that I travel to often, for example London. But my core group of friends and relatives live near me in Massachusetts.

Your topic indicates that you don't view men and women as people, but as separate entities. Perhaps that is your problem.

You also stated that because you were traveling all over the world that your friends stayed in your hometown?

Staying in touch by the internet is real communication. If you want to be near your friends, then quit your present job that requires so much travel, go back home and settle down. Find a woman to marry, have kids and live life to the full. Maybe then you'll be happy.

These are just spam posts. A "newbie" posts a setup question, and then another "newbie" magically comes up with an answer for their problems in the form of a link.

Ugh, there are spammers everywhere. I play Words with Friends on FB and get constant spammers and guys "hitting on me". I'm a 50+ yr. old married woman. Seriously not a catch.

I wouldn't say it's going downhill, they're just delayed on cashing out the forums some months but they always pull through
