Buried or cremated
« on: December 01, 2021, 02:23:07 pm »
Does anyone know a way of finding out if someone was buried or cremated, aside from calling the cemetery ?

I think you can look in the obituary or sometimes if there is a wake the funeral home might have the information.

I usually call the cemetery. Agree that orbituary usually has the information as well.

Why would I care unless it was me? But my plans are to be Composted to feed the forest trees.

The cemetery should have records.

I would look to the obituary like many have suggested and then go next to the funeral home that handled the arrangements if it did not say. Not everyone who is cremated is necessarily buried or interred in a cemetery. But they have to be cremated or enbalmed somewhere.
