I think I'd rather be alone.  I'm my own best company anyway.

Me too, and some of them are pretty annoying.  LOL   Most of the time alone, but sometimes anyone even annoying is better than being alone.

I would like to find a happy medium since i have lived alone most of my life. i have a fair number of friends but there are times when it gets lonely

I like being alone sometimes but other times I want to with my family.  Being alone all the time would be depressing to me.

People need the company of others, however; I'm not sure I would rather be around someone annoying, than being alone.  I can entertain myself alone for long periods, but I would have to be around someone else eventually, maybe even someone annoying.
