My doctor recommended but since I had covid recently they recommended I wait.  I had already had the 2 covid shots and my flu shot.  I have to wait 90 days from the onset of covid to get the booster.    They told me I could go to any CVS Pharmacy to get it, they just call it in like a regular prescription.  So probably any drug store that does any of the shots could do it.

My doctor wanted me to get the shingles shot, but the shot is so expensive they don't give it at her office.  She sent a request in to my drug store, but it was going to cost me $75 so I didn't get it.

I did have the shingles shot several years ago. I think it hurt, but it was no big deal. It had no residual effects.

I have had chicken pox, but I remember when my mother went through shingles and I didn't want to risk it myself

I'm not getting the shot unless if something comes up. I just cant justify getting it if I'm feeling alright and good to go. Just the way I am

I heard that if you didn't have Chickenpox as a kid, you probably won't get Shingles, but my doctor said a lot of people had Chickenpox and never know it. He said he is going to give me a test to see if I should vet vaccinated for Shingles. I have known some older folks that had it and I would just as soon not add to that list.

I'm pretty sure I had chickenpox so I just got it to be on the safe side

I hate shots in general. That will be a big fat no for me. Every nurse I've  ever got a shot from always made the darn thing hurt.

My mom has gotten the two shots recently as recommended by her doctor. My dad also got the same recommendation. Seems important especially for older people.

Mine was free - covered by insurance. But an elderly neighbor to my parents (who is now dead) got shingles about 10 or 15 years ago. He told them that he would have paid $1000 for the vaccine if he could have avoided going through the pain of the actual disease.
