Summer Olympics
« on: May 23, 2021, 05:58:48 am »
I'm excited that they're scheduled to take place this year (end of July-August), but there's concerns and questions about them actually taking place....thoughts? Feelings about them?

I hope we get to see them this year, a good reason to pass on some of the outside chores.

I would love to see the summer Olympics, but I am not sure it will happen. The site where it is suppose to be held have so many people dying from Covid -19

I watch it at times if there is gymnastic competition or volleyball. I've always liked that.

Otherwise, I'm not too interested in sports. I'm such a drag sometimes.  :notworthy:

I'm looking forward to seeing them. Opening ceremony is July 23 and the closing ceremony is Aug.8! I read that the International Olympic Committee and the Tokyo organizers have agreed that the Games will retain all of the 2020 branding, which means all signage, television graphics, souvenirs and even the medals won by the athletes will say Tokyo 2020!

I am also very excited to see the summer Olympics that will take place in Japan. I visited Japan before the pandemic and visited the stadiums where the olympics are scheduled to take place. They look really cool and Japan has invested a lot of resources to make it a great event. It would be so cool to see the athletes compete again and see them excel.

I will watch the olympics as long as it is live - I don't like watching sporting events if I know who already won.

Far as i know no other country can still even enter Japan were the Olympics will be held at because of the pandemic there seems. Well no travelers from other countries I mean. Covid over there is still kinda rampid  & i wonder if they will really have the games or not. They say they are but if things don't change there I have my doubts

Japan won"t take any of the political correctness that America wants to include.  I hope that anyone going there to speak their mind will end up in a jail.

It’s exciting since my niece is a swimmer & will soon be old enough to try out for the Olympic team very soon!

I don't really care one way or the other. I had heard it was going to be cancelled. They go back and forth so much with everything nobody knows what is going on anyway. I don't watch the Olympics.
