anyone know a type of christianity that condemns meat eating??

ok im a lutheran and well the bible does support vegetarianism somewhat however it also says meat is ok to eat as long as its clean meats such as chickens, turkeys, cattle, deer, sheep, fish with fins, and a few more. I need to find a faith or religion within christianity field that is 100% against meat eating since im a vegetarian. I guess its not that important however since God really doesnt base diet on our religion. Its come to my attention that those who choose to eat meat its their choice and people shouldnt base anything off of them based on that. However for the longest and healthiest life we should avoid meat.

I have faith and I'm a meat eater.  It is okay to eat meat.  If you are a vegetarian for life time, then you don't have to eat meat.  Whether they meat eater or not, some people still have faith.  It say in the bible that you have soak all the blood off the meat and then cook it.

it sounds as if you're holding vegetarianism above
the faith that you follow now, and so you're seeking
something else based on your eating habits?

...why is not okay to keep the faith you follow now
and still not eat meat?    it sounds like
you're wanting to separate yourself from non-vegetarians
and the most passionate way for your to do that
is through religion.

go outside the realm of christianity to find a meat-free

I've never heard of someone following a religion based on whether or not you're allowed to eat meat.

don't be misled the bible doesn't say anything about not eating meat and all meats r ok or else when peter when was on the roof praying and the blanket came down to him and he said about not eating the unclean meat and Jesus told him to eat it becuz it was not unclean because thru Jesus its not unclean now i am not saying u should be a glutten either but everything is ok in moderation

It is not a religion that says you can't eat certain foods it is God. And before man sinnned we were ment to be vegetarians but when sin was abound so death was put on the table. Meaning you can now eat meat, but only the clean beasts that he tells you about in Deuteronomy.

I've always found it humorous that the morality of eating shrimp is the same as practicing homosexuality -- both are said to be abominations.

If you think you need religion to become a vegetarian, you probably don't want to do it that badly. It almost sounds like someone's trying to pressure you into becoming one, and you're just trying to find another reason to justify it besides just being asked to do it. Just my thoughts.

However for the longest and healthiest life we should avoid meat.

I'm pretty sure it was just announced recently that there are connections to vegetarianism and osteoporosis.
