it was good. It was my first time making it but it came out the way I planned.
Red velvet cheesecake
Ingredients for the crust
2 1/2 cups crushed oreo cookies, about 30 cookies
5 tblspns unsalted butter, melted

For the cheesecake
4 packages cream cheese softened
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup sour cream room temperature
1 tblspn white vinegar
1 tblspn vanilla extract
1-2 ounces red food coloring
4 lg eggs lightly beaten

For the frosting
4 ounces cream cheese softened
1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
2 cups confectionery sugar
1 tspn vanilla extract

Directions
Put cookies in a bowl with melted butter and mix well. Put in spring form pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 10 minutes. Set aside. In a large bowl put 4 packages of cream cheese in and beat until smooth. Add in sugar and cocoa powder and beat until combined. Put in sour cream, vanilla , vinegar, and red food coloring. Beat until well combined. Add 4 beaten eggs and fold until combined. Pour into spring form pan and bake for 1 hour. Turn oven off and let sit in oven for another hour. Put in refrigerator over night. To make frosting put 4 ounces of cream cheese in a bowl with 1/2 cup butter. Beat until smooth. Put in 2 cups confectionery sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat until combined. Spread it evenly on cheesecake.

That sounds really good. I remember making a Red velvet cheese cake once that had actual Red velvet cake layers in with cheese cake layers and then frosted. It was really good also. I have no idea what happened to the recipe though. I just know my husband, who likes Red Velvet cake, really liked it.
