That's too bad. Pancreatic cancer is nearly impossible to beat.

Does anyone remember Alex Trebek on Cheers when Cliff Clavin was a Jeopardy contestant: https://youtu.be/botdmsQilnU

Or The Golden Girls when Dorothy and Rose were contestants: https://youtu.be/BPlBYUaxcyM  (There's a Trump joke in there too)

He seemed like a fun guy.   :)

I saw a biography of Alex Trebek last night on one of the channels. It was not listed as a program and was not talked about in advance as far as I know. It was a great tribute to the man. It told about his personal life, his bout with cancer, his wife whom he adores, and his enjoyment of doing Jeopardy even when he was ill.

He gave away a lot of his money and did other generous acts as well.
He said he always wanted to be remembered as a nice guy, etc. He really was.  :star:

I believe he did several cameos, as you mentioned. They're always fun! Thanks for reminding us, 1imaginarygirl.

I saw on the news last night, he taped enough shows into December.  He was in the studio taping two weeks before his death.  What a brave man he was.  RIP he will be missed

He has handled his cancer with dignity and refused to give up to this terrible disease.  He continued to work every day and every time I saw him he always had a smile on his face.  RIP Alex Trebek you fought the long battle and now you can rest.

That's sad he died. Jeopardy will not be the same without him. His final episode will be aired on Christmas day. I will watch his final episode on that day. After that, I will not be watching Jeopardy again.

The older I get, the more people near my age are dying.  It is depressing  :'(

I had been avoiding the news because I was tired of hearing about politics.  I finally decide to check the news and find out that Alex Trebek has passed away.  I'm going to watch reruns of Jeopardy.  I don't think I would like the show with another host.

No but there is suppose to be a tribute to him showing the shows he guest starred in.  I saw it last night but don't remember when or where it is to come on. His last episode of Jeopardy is on Christmas Day.

The show will go on. There have been other game shows that it seemed like a new person would never be the same and now it is like they were always there.  I never watched Jeopardy all that much. I did some. I liked him as a host.
