Not much. A little over $1,2k. Paid it off not long after I graduated.

I was fortunate to have a small student loan.  I have a niece, however, that owed $100,000+ after she received her Master's degree.  She's whittling it down, slowly but surely.

Congratulations OP! Very proud of you. Unfortunately, yes, I currently have (two) student loans. I hope to pay off the first one by the end of the year and the second one within the next three years.

Thank you!

And oh no! The loans being put in forbearance due to COVID-19 helped a lot since I didn't have to pay any more interest.

Yes! I was able to do it in less than 4 years after graduating. My main motivator was to avoid paying interest and now with loans being put into forbearance, I did!

Yes, it feels good to be debt free! I feel like I can breathe freely.  :notworthy: :star:

Congrats! I'm happy I never had to take out loans for school so I don't have that experience of having that debt over my head.

That has helped a bit to pay down the interest. But since I've been laid off and my income reduced, I haven't been able to put much toward it. So I'm still stuck in the same sinking boat.
