I will def finish this month.  I have some stuff.  I want to order a couple things.  Need to get with it.  Never know what will happen with deliveries.

I haven’t started yet.  It’s bad enough I have Christmas to buy for, but also 2 birthdays, my sister in January and one of my best friends December 24.  Guess I better get on the ball.

Its hard NOT to get sucked into it in this world......but still glad i know the truth RE Xmas and ALL the other pagan holidays.

Plus id rather receive or give a gift from the heart then feel cos I had to or the nonsense it was Jesus birthday.

I purchased gift cards for my friends and loved ones this past weekend. In the past, I used to purchase presents, however, some of them were either not well received or I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what some of them wanted. Nowadays, it is either gift cards or cash. SO much more convenient for me.

Unless it was something completely stupid I don't know why people do not receive gifts well.  If you know the person you would know what they like.  I have never gotten a gift from someone close to me that I disliked.  I have got gifts from people at church or when we done co-workers (I don't do that any more) that were of no use and basically the same as nothing.  Personally I would rather have a actual thing than just money.  And with gift cards you need to make sure it is something useful to the person.  We got a gift card for a steak house that is over an hour away from us a few years ago.  I don't know that it ever even got used.

It's been quite a few years since I celebrated Christmas.  I don't buy Christmas presents.

For the last couple of years I didn't do any Christmas shopping but I want to put the surprise and mystery back in Christmas this year, I'm halfway done.

I will begin shopping online soon. This year will be different from the past. I won't buy a  lot of gifts. I am going to find out what the people close to me need and try to purchase it or give a gift card.
