She was 87.

The cause of death was metastatic pancreatic cancer, according to a statement from the court.

I learned about it on FB. I immediately wanted to ensure it was true because some websites stupidly spread rumors of a person's death. I was saddened to learn that it was, in fact, true. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. She was a true pioneer in women's rights. I am definitely going to watch the documentary of her life (RBG) on CNN tonight.

She was a courageous pioneer in many things but particularly for women's rights. She lived many of the issues first-hand! Many younger women do not realize the fight that has been fought for the gender equality we have today which is still not equal to men's.
