what to talk about?

I try every day to to find something of interest to chat about or comment on.  I am tired of the politics, and Covid 19.  Seems that we can find something else to chat about.  I just can't think of a thing.  The weather?  I don't think so. It has been pretty boring here.  Been raining for about a week.  Makes me want to sleep.    Sp, really.  How is everyone doing?  What keeps you entertained for your day?

I'm beyond tired of those subjects too, seems all anyone's spoken about for 6 months. I for one am enjoying my gardening and the approach of fall weather. I wish you'd send some of that rain my way!

This day is going crappy so far when it comes to dealing crappy people. I'm not a confrontational person but that may soon change when comes to handling situations. And as of late, chatting with old school friends is keeping me entertained in addition to other things.

I like to look back on YouTube  about the fifties.  Suppose to be a great time for most.  You could leave you4 door open,go outside and play all day.  Didn't worry about muggings or your house being broken into.  Wait I'm making myself sick. Things are never as good as you think.

I agree! The past couple of weeks I've been starting topics on anything I can think of that's not the standard, biased political BS. I took a week or so off from posting here because I needed a break.

Speaking of the weather, the West Coast is on fire! The skies are hazy and red in states from the North to the South. It's sad to see! And there's no expected rain.

I think we all are, when I talk with family and friends via text, phone or video chat we just talk about each others well being and try to stay away from all the talk we hear and see 24/7 on TV.

I try to participate in conversations that are not depressing or controversial, which is why I try to steer clear of anything COVID-19-related or politically-driven. But, as someone else pointed out, it is difficult to do so when nearly 50% of the threads on this forum fall into one of these two categories.
