Paranormal Activity
« on: October 22, 2009, 06:48:42 pm »
Has anyone seen this one yet? I watched it last night and I thought it was so silly!!! I was waiting for it to get scary as I love horror films. I turned off all my lights, my kids were sleeping, AND I waited and waited. But nothing!! I was so disappointed in the movie after reading all the great reviews it had received. All the movie was, was noises and flickering of lights and such nonsense!!! GOSH I wanted to be scared outta my wits like others had said on reviews. I'm glad I didn't pay to see it!!!!
If you have seen this movie what were your thoughts on it? I know that the film itself was made on a very small budget but come on it was just noises basically!!!

I enjoyed watching it, the scare was the fact that you dont actually see what it causing the noise and I felt parts of the movie were very intense.  I thought it was a good movie on that fact, like the original The Haunting - no cheesy special effects, just let your mind scare you.

My friend said he was shaking half way through it and he had to close his eyes for the ending. He couldn't sleep that night and he was truly freaked out. I have no desire to watch it. lol. I've never seen a real horror movie anyway.

Freaking awesome movie. Suspenseful, creepy, and the ending drove everything home. People left the theater quietly with the hair standing up on the back of their neck.

i haven't seen it but I was debating to see it.. maybe it would have been better at the theater with a large screen .. when i saw the ring I thought it was good but then I watched it on my t.v and it wasn't the same.

i enjoyed it. i thought the fact that you couldn't see much and the open-endedness of it was what made it scary. now i wasn't one of those people that were scared ****less, and i had no problems sleeping that night or any night since, but i did enjoy the movie. i really liked that people were so down to earth and relatable, had a commoness to them that maybe reminds you of someone you know. that makes the story seem plausible and capable of happening and, for people who believe in that kind of stuff, that is the scary part.

if i had to complain about anything, it would be the shakiness of the camera when the guyis carrying it around. that gave me such a headache!

If you have good antivirus you are able to watch this one online. Go to www.watchnewfilms.com. It will be in the first row of films. It is not a CAM copy it is a regular film that someone leaked upon the site. I watch online movies all the time and have never had any problems with viruses.

Watched a screener version last night (has a different ending than the one in theaters.)  Very good and VERY freaky!  I could barely sleep last night.

I still like Blair Witch more, but I think PA is scarier.  People have been calling it "the new Exorcist" and they're spot on <<shiver>>
