Does anyone have experience with this? I just did a survey on Foster Care and am now very interested in the subject

Child Welfare Placement Continuum: What's Best?

Nov 03, 2019 · Just over 400,000 American children live in foster care, and some 47,000 reside in group homes, residential treatment facilities, psychiatric institutions’ and emergency shelters. This type of placement—called “congregate care”—may be beneficial for children …st completed a survey on "Foster Care" and am now very interested!

This New Federal Law Will Change Foster Care As We Know It ...

A new federal law, propelled by the belief that children in difficult homes nearly always fare best with their parents, effectively blows up the nation’s troubled foster care system.

Few outside child welfare circles paid any mind to the law, which was tucked inside a massive spending bill President Donald Trump signed in February. ( 2018 )  But it will force states to overhaul their foster care systems by changing the rules for how they can spend their annual $8 billion in federal funds for child abuse prevention.

May 02, 2018 · Children’s average stay in a group home is eight months, the report found. Some states rely more on group homes than others, with the amount of children in congregate care ranging from 4 to 35 percent of foster care children…

Hi!

After seeing a women's story about fostering the children then legally adopting them I became interested ya. I did a few research on the web. Though some children had a bad experience growing up in the system. As the foster parents were more interested in the money not the children. There are some improvements needed deffinately.

So you support killing babies? Wow!

It was a month ago that you wrote this reply, but I only just noticed it. Just making sure... you did read my "DISCLAIMER" in my earlier post, right? I tried to make it clear in that disclaimer that I was being extremely sarcastic by suggesting that the problems faced by foster children could be easily prevented through abortion.

I was just trying to make a point to show how absolutely ridiculous and cold hearted the "logic" is of many of the anti-life advocates of abortion rights.

To take it a step further, we now have people on the left - the same people who often drum up the retort to pro-lifers that if you are so opposed to abortion, you should go out and adopt all of those unwanted children and raise them yourself - who are now accusing Amy Coney Barrett (Trump's new Supreme Court nominee) of being a racist because she adopted two black Haitian children and is raising them in a white family.

Under no circumstances do I support killing babies and have made that point numerous times in different threads here and I just wanted to make sure that position is clear!

Nope, I missed that. :D

I did not think you would go for that.  Here is the thing with just go out and "adopt them and raise them yourself" It is not that easy.  I know a ton of families that would take a homeless child in but it costs over $30,000 to adopt a child in the US.  And you have to go through so much BS and being judged and somebody without a clue deeming you "worthy".   Maybe if it were easier more people would adopt.  Back in the early days you just took the kid in and gave them your name. If there was an official adoption it was a simple process.

I do think after the first abortion if you go in for a second one you should be sterilized.  THIS would also solve a problem.  A girl I went to high school with has had at least 5.  She doesn't see anything wrong with it.
