So sad, I know they say some people refused to evacuate; that can be for many reasons I guess. I  spent my professional working career in Miami and I know many times people would not follow the orders to evacuate if they lived in certain areas, for some it was a hardship to do so; others simply did not want to leave their homes. It is a hard call, but a part of life when you live in areas proned to hurricanes.

Wouldnt U leave your house if a bad fire erupted in it?

This hurricane was a monster.

That hurricane was awful.  It left most people homeless and no where to go.  I saw a picture of a woman standing in her house.  The roof was gone and there were bits and pieces lying around.  Horrible.

The devastation and loss is life is tragic.
