When you are looking to purchase an item online and you read reviews are you interested in how the item is packaged? Some things especially bigger items I like to know how it is packaged.

While I want/expect an item to be packaged well, I don't think I have ever sought that information in an online review. I never really thought of it. Maybe I will next time.

I never thought about it either.  If it’s a large or expensive item I will from now on.

What about something like a mattress?  Do you even know how they ship mattresses you order online? Cause I never really thought about them being jammed in to a somewhat small box. lol But they are. Idk sometimes I like to be assured things are packed so they will arrive safely. When I have written reviews for things I have purchased especially online sometimes I include that info. Just curious as to if that is something people would want to know.

I don't really pay attention to that part honestly, unless I see a comment on how the packaging was damaged and ruined the product, in which case I would have to see multiple reviews saying similar comments to be concerned about it...

There are some things I have ordered or thought about ordering that I wondered how they are packaged. For example have you ever seen how mattresses are shipped? You certainly would not think a mattress was in that box. haha  I would have thought they are shipped the same way the ones are shipped to a warehouse. But they aren't.  I have included info a couple times about how items are packed or shipped.  I have also seen reviews where people say the items are not packaged in a way that they can arrive safely.  I read reviews and I guess I pay attention to them because if a lot of negative reviews show up it can effect if I purchase the items or not.

Any package can be damaged. Esp with the volume of stuff being ordered and shipped right now.  I got a box delivered via Fedex a couple days ago and the box had a boot print on it.  It did not damage what was inside but I was still a bit surprised. But you have no idea when it happened.

If I'm spending significant dollars, I like to know shipping details. If there is no info, I will contact the company to find out.

I guess I never look for that specifically, unless it's something really big and fragile. In reviews I've left I don't mention the packing unless it was either above and beyond great, or so bad that it damaged or risked damaging the product. If no one mentions it I tend to assume it's alright.

I guess sometimes I want to know HOW it is packaged. I said in one of my posts if it is something really big.  It amazes me at some of the stuff you can get shipped right to your door now.  I have mentioned shipping details a couple of times. I noticed one the one thing I done a review on when later reading other reviews I noticed others had mentioned some of the same things I did.

I find myself reading reviews more these days. Money doesn't grow on trees and I want to have an idea if something is horrible. I do not base my decision on how it is shipped but there are times when I have wondered how something would be shipped. For example, as I said before, a mattress.  Those things are not shipped at all how I thought they would be. But you are right about now knowing how real it is. Some reviews are paid reviews so maybe it is real and maybe it isn't.

I've never thought to include packaging in my reviews. I have some stuff auto-shipped from Chewy. They always send everything in HUGE boxes with barely any air pillows, and the product is flip flopping around inside. My dog's meds come separately from their pharmacy. It's just a blister pack with very tiny pills, but they send it in a huge box when it would work just fine to put it in a small padded envelope.

Never considered or thought about this before even though I've got some pretty badly damaged packages before here and there with very little to cushion the stuff inside. Kinda lazy if you ask me. A couple times ordered a bike through a catalog and when i got it was practically falling out of the box they came in both times
