Old Magazines
« on: August 14, 2020, 06:27:02 pm »
What can I do with my 10+ magazines? They're in good shape still.  I have magazines from 2003-2016. I did think about using them to cut out pictures and words and make a collage on cardboard to hang on my bedroom wall, just trying to be creative and not waste anything. I want to describe my personality. >:(

You will enjoy the collage, and having something fun to work on as it turns colder outside,

Keep them and look at them later or possibly sell them? Depends on what the magazine is.  There was an estate sell locally and the man had every Reader's Digest from way back.  I don't remember how far back but I know I have some of them (a person I know bought them) from as far back as the 50s and maybe the 30s. I got some of the ones from years that were birth years of important family members. And my birth year.  So now...they are sitting in a crate in my basement. haha  It is interesting to look at the magazine from the 30's and even just 20 years ago and now.  The magazine has really changed.

I think the best thing you can do is declutter your space and recycle the old magazines.  There's no sense keeping something you are no using.

My husband had kept all his NRA magazines since the early 1960's and I gave them all to our local gun dealer

I think making a collage is a great idea. It would be fun to look at all the magazines and pick just the right pictures.  It would be like recycling them, and you would have something left to enjoy!  Go for it!!!

Recycle, donate to school or nursery school where they can cut out the pictures for projects.

lol So after somebody sits in the chair do they sanitize the chair? That does not surprise me. I have not been to the doctor since all this started. I never looked at the magazines anyway. I usually just do something on my phone. That is what most people do.

Wonder if they sell them or let people have them. I never would have thought about taking old magazines to Goodwill.

I used to hang on to old magazines but anymore I cannot deal with the clutter so I just recycle them after looking through them.

I have not been in our Goodwill in a really long time but I do not recall seeing magazines. Maybe they did have them. Our store is not very well organized.
