Not meat or fruit and actually, I never really returned anything to a physical store because honestly, I think it would be too much of a hassle for possibly nothing.

No.  Returning meat and fruits is not sanitary.  Any store who accepts it back  is not following health laws.

I don't usually take any fruit or meat back to the store if something is wrong.  I just throw it away and keep on going, but I don't buy from that store again.

since i live alone i don't buy an abundance of fruit or meat at once.i may have a problem with meat once or twice but i would not have bothered returning it.when purchasing meat i pay close attention to color and the sell by date.
