I can only commit to 10 minutes. Occasionally I will try a 15-minute one if the reward is higher.  My attention span must be very short.

I only do short surveys because of that reason. I've been burned too many times.

I broke one of my own rules of not attempting a survey that is longer than 25 minutes on most, not all, of my sites.

I am talking about a site other than FC but one where I have established the 20 minute rule. I also have made this rule for FC.

I had a 25 minute survey on the homepage of this other site. I had time and thought, "why not. give it a go"? It turned out to be an interesting survey. I completed, even making some comments at the end, and submitted only to get the "oops. we are sorry". I did not even get the sometimes small DQ bonus.

I Should Have Known Better.

That happened to me yesterday.

That is so frustrating!  I've had that happen to me as well and like you established a rule on the time limit for a survey.  The rule makes taking survey so much more enjoyable.

I never heard of slower respondents being kicked out of surveys before.  I tend to be very slow and attentive to giving thoughtful answers, which makes me probably on the bottom of the slowness spectrum.  In school, I was always the last one to finish tests.  I like to take my time and be thorough.  I guess that would explain some of the times I reached the end of a survey and get that message, "Something went wrong!"

My solution to that problem is, I NEVER time them.

Me neither. I just sit there and do them until I am done. Should I know better? :confused1:

I believe that you can be kicked out of a survey for being too fast or too slow. Some surveys take an average and respondents who are at either end of the survey are kicked out. This is some surveys, not all or maybe not even most.

I mostly only do Tap because you always get money and usually more than any other DQ. I occ. will try a survey that sounds interesting that is 10-15 min. I usually regret it though.

One thing to be disqualified after a minut3 or 2  then to spend 20 or more trying then get a message that your done and no credit for you. Luckily doesn't happen that often

I hate it when this happens.  You spend all that time answering their questions as honestly as you can and then you don't get credited for doing the survey.

That’s happened to me too.  I never start one that states 20 minutes or more, but like you, maybe I’m bored that day so what the heck I’ll do it.  After the whole survey is complete the screen says you do not qualify and not even a penny for me.
