The most scariest one I can think of is the Exorcist. It still gives me the creeps when I think about it.

I'm 25 & I still can't watch Pet Cemetary alone in the dark. The ending to that movie is truly creepy.

I still have to say the movie "The Exorcist" still top my list of scariest horror movie. I'm not a fan of horror flicks. The gruesome makeup on the actress Linda Blair was just too realistic.

Horror movies usually don't scare me but the movies that made me a jump a couple of times was the Exorcist, The Changeling (not really scary, just freaky), and one of the Saw movies (I forgot which one).

Cabin by the Lake.

I absolutely LOVE horror films and never think they're very scary, but that one has me staying away from any house by a lake. It could happen.

At the time "The Exorcist" scared me but then I saw "Dressed To Kill"...the elevator scene, the way he looked dressed like a woman...so many parts of it stayed with me that I had to sleep with the light on for weeks. It wasn't so much a horror film just really scary to me. I rented it once and couldn't watch it.

The scariest concept portrayed by a scary movie, I think, was Nightmare on Elm Street. I'd rather die than experience a nightmare that I dream I'm waking up from only to realize NOT.
I remember when the original Exorcist opened in theaters - some people threw up in their seats, some ran out of the theater before it was over - I was a young teenager, read the book but never saw the movie until it was on TV.

The scariest movie for me? embarassing, but Clowns From Outer Space.

Mothman Prophecies, the part when Richard Gere is talking on the phone with Ingred and asking him questions he shouldn't know the answer to. Freaked me out.
