I got a FC survey invite in my email that wanted me to hold my government issued ID up to my webcam in order to continue the survey. I nope'd right out of there. I don't have a webcam on my desktop anyway, but no way. Do you want my social security number next, and maybe my bank account number too? Good grief.

I wonder if very many people would actually do that!  I would have gotten out of there, too!

I've heard of that happening to some people too. I would've done the same as you and exited out of the survey. No way I'm giving anyone such personal information.

I would never ever do that nor do I do anything that involves surveys via webcam or personal info.

Geesh!  The nerve of some of these people!  I always get out of any survey that wants to get any of my personal information......not worth the reward payout from a survey.  I don't do webcam surveys either.

Not sure if "THEY" (whoever "THEY" is) really is listening somehow to everything we say or sites we visit online or on our phones.  Seems like I get ads/promos related to anything I do actually show an interest in.....

I have never come across anything like that here, but I too would have left the survey. I’m always very careful about what type of information I give in a survey.

Recently I signed up with a gpt site.  At first things were going well.  All of a sudden my account was frozen.  My first support ticket had the reply saying that they had to verify the offer I completed with their advertisers. 

A month later, I again sent a support ticket but this time the site wants me to send a photo or a scan of a document confirming my name and address on my profile.  Examples of documents are drivers license, or utility bills. 

I know that the terms of service page on some of these earning sites state that they can, at times, request such information.  I've never had to submit anything like that before and I'm certainly not going to start now.

Whether the request is on a survey or an earning site, there is only so much personal information I'm willing to give.

That sounds suspicious. I would never show this kind of information when doing a survey.

I will give my cell phone number or my yahoo e-mail address..I can block numbers on my cell phone and it is tracfone so harder to get info from as no contract and yahoo mail is my junk mail address..but nothing more than that

Overseas financial site request this type of verification, scanning your government picture ID and sending it to open the account there.  One survey site I participate in only had these for US payments for a long time!   I waited and finally they offered gift cards to US residents.

That request for your ID is a privacy issue, that should be addresed by the FC admin crew...

Wow, I think you did the right thing.  No way would a legit company ask for that kind of info.

Was it a survey where you have to be 21 to participate? I have seen those esp where it leads to you trying a product. It was for some type of alcohol and you have to prove you are 21.  I did not do it but that could explain why that happened.

You do know that every survey you take they have your personal info- correct?  They have access to your full name that you submitted to FC as well as your email and address.  A lot of people do not know that. I done a survey several years ago then got to thinking about it later and some things did not seem right. I submitted a support ticket and asked if "they" the people behind the survey know who we are.  The snarly response was "of course they know who you are. if you are not comfortable doing a survey just x out and try another one". I was shocked by all of it. I had no idea that every survey we took they know exactly who you are.
