Edible Arrangements
« on: June 29, 2020, 12:15:16 pm »
Has anyone ever used them?  I want to send a basket to my cousin in North Carolina for her birthday.  They seen a little pricy but if they are good and hold up ok I’ll send her one.

Depends on what kind of arrangement you are talking about. If it is fruit you should send from somewhere local to her.  If it is the ones made of candy idk how that works. I thought all of those were sent from local shops. I would get on Pinterest and make one of the baskets from candy  myself and send that UPS or something like that. Idk how well it would hold up though depending on the handlers. Some take better care of packages than others. Our driver is great.

That’s what has me confused.  I’m in PA so if I order from here I assume a shop near her would make it so I have no idea what it looks like, or do they make it here and it travels to NC?

We live near one of the Edible Arrangements stores, which is actually called Edible Arrangements. My guess is that these stores are interspersed throughout the US and your order goes to the closest one to you. I love these arrangements. The fruit is always fresh and tasty. They are a little on the pricey side, though. But when you think about how high priced fruit can be even at the supermarket and the time and care put into making one of the arrangements, I guess it's not too bad.  :peace:

We had one delivered to our office the other year. I didn't think it was all that good.

Depending on her personal preferences, you can put an edible arrangement together with her favorite stuff...
and save a lot of money by doing it yourself.

I send Edible Arrangements often.  It is a franchise, so if you order online, you pick a store nearest the delivery location.  Regardless of the location, the items are consistent.  My most recent order was a cute cup with chocolate dipped strawberries, some pineapple.  It was cute and, according to the recipient, very tasty.

Used them this year for Mother's Day - seemed to work out fine, but yes, a bit pricey

We, sent some to our Father for Father's day, yes pricey but you don't have to do anything but charge your credit card.

I have sent fruit through the company called Harry and David before and the fruit arrived in good shape. The recipients loved the gift.

I haven't ever seen an Edible Arrangement....just pictures.  They do look good, but like you I don't know how they would hold up.  Seems they'd need refrigeration which could be tricky if it was a tall vase with lots of fruit "flowers".

Let us know.
