I just saw on tv that Europe has banned Americans from entering due to our numbers rising from COVID-19.

BRUSSELS — European Union countries rushing to revive their economies and reopen their borders after months of coronavirus restrictions are prepared to block Americans from entering because the United States has failed to control the scourge, according to draft lists of acceptable travelers reviewed by The New York Times.

That prospect, which would lump American visitors in with Russians and Brazilians as unwelcome, is a stinging blow to American prestige in the world and a repudiation of President Trump’s handling of the virus in the United States, which has more than 2.3 million cases and upward of 120,000 deaths, more than any other country.

European nations are currently haggling over two potential lists of acceptable visitors based on how countries are faring with the coronavirus pandemic. Both lists include China, as well as developing nations like Uganda, Cuba and Vietnam. Both also exclude the United States and other countries that were deemed too risky because of the spread of the virus.

Travelers from the United States and the rest of the world already had been excluded from visiting the European Union — with few exceptions mostly for repatriations or “essential travel” — since mid-March. But a final decision on reopening the borders is expected early next week, before the bloc reopens on July 1.

It's understandable. My state is really seeing some big increases lately. All I've been seeing on the news is idiots crowding into newly reopened bars like sardines. I think they are closing some of them back down.

Texas is shutting down all bars.  Florida has over 9,000 new cases today as of CDC posting.

Obviously the only answer is to lock everybody in their homes from now til the end of time.  Or until November when it will magically all disappear.

Why will it disappear in November?  Banning Americans will hurt a lot of Americans.  Where I work a lot of our Engineers and Vice Presidents often travel to Europe for business.

It is sad that thing we have gotten to this point and there are still those who only wants what feels good to them without concerns for others.  I pray that we will  go back to being a caring people.

      It is just too risky. Covid 19 really got out of control in the USA.

You ALL dont have to look far why the end of the road to this virus will become a struggle.Perfect example right here as well as Trump followers last week.

Honestly i can't blame them for doing this . We probably be more over this if people listen and do what they were asked to do. Those protests and riots probably helped spread the virus tremendously. Now we are back int he same boat as when this first started all because no one listens

I really do not blame them.  Must of the European countries have done their own luck downs and now starting to recover from that, like or not the USA has not control their virus crisis and if US people starts traveling there and are sick is gong to affect their efforts.  USA has NOT done enough to control the crisis and even when November gets here, with or without a change on Government is going to be too late to get control.

There are other countries that have lucked their airports, nothing in nothing out, we have not.
