Kind of humorous that people still compare the corona virus pandemic to a different strain of flu given that the average number of deaths from the flu, over the last ten years, has been between twenty four thousand and sixty two thousand. The United States is currently at one hundred and twenty two thousand six hundred and nine deaths from the corona virus. Most people would recognize this number as being considerably higher than the average flu count (almost double) and this many deaths has occurred in just under six months. 122609 out of one million, one hundred twenty four thousand, six hundred and seventy seven cases with an outcome have resulted in death which is ten point nine percent (more than one in ten are dying) per the center for disease control-not quite the ninety eight percent recovery rate offered with out a source.

Because that is what it is.  ::)   Same with H1N1 which was worse than this.  It was also a new strain of the flu.
People better wake up.  This virus was here back in the fall. If you want to hide in your house then by all means do so. But locking people down and arresting them for being outside of their homes has nothing to do with a virus. It is about control.

Are there actually places that require masks OUTdoors? I can understand wearing them in small indoor areas. But to require them on the beach? That's ridiculous. I can't remember where, but I read you are 19 times LESS likely to get the virus outdoors, because it disperses quickly in open air.

Yes.  I posted it somewhere yesterday.  In the Florida Keys they will require every person to wear a mask any where in public for the next YEAR. People were talking about how hard it will be to enforce wearing a mask on the beach. Seems like I have seen other places listed that have the same requirement.  A couple of amusement parks are requiring masks even though you are outside. I want to think it was Disney Land or Disney World.  I actually thought the states that require masks in public that it meant outside as well as inside of a building. Idk. My state never went that physco. Some businesses suggest you wear a mask but it is not mandatory.

Scratching my head on how twelve thousand, four hundred and sixty nine H1N1 deaths between April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010 can be defined as worse than worse than the one hundred and twenty three thousand, four hundred and eighty four deaths we have had in the last six months? Even if this virus had started last Fall the numbers point to this not being an ordinary virus. These numbers are from the Center for Disease control. I could not sleep if I was encouraging people not to take precautions during these times based on my opinion and/or I was making up my own statistics. As the country lowers it's guard we see an increase in numbers. Perhaps there is a correlation? Better safe than sorry? It is important for everyone, when reading any of these posts, to confirm the information and not choose hear say when deciding their fate.

Green, Yellow, Red or Purple, I am staying home anyway. I have nowhere to go and all day to get there, so I am not taking any risks with someone getting the color wrong and spiking a new outbreak. Uncle Sam deposits my monthly check by direct deposit, so I can enjoy another binge session on Netflix and stay unaffected by any color changes.

I'm with you there OldBuddy.

Son had his lab drawn the other day, the staff had on mask and  the other 3/4 of the people coming in did not have theirs on.

Then stay in your house!  We can't all do that.  Some of us have to work. They are LYING about the numbers but you won't believe that so there ya go.  Yes, it is important to confirm numbers and information.  And when you do some research you find that this is not near as scary as the media touts.  More people have had and die with the flu.  The difference is the numbers are not shoved in your face hourly.

I'm glad to see things opening again.  I even met 2 girlsfriends for an outdoor happy hour this week.  We can't spend the rest of our lives sitting at home all alone.  We have to get back to some kind of normal, obviously taking personal safety into account.

Hopefully Not any FC members listen to this fool......referring to CG.

Yes we need to get essentials and go to work, but precautions must be obeyed. This virus is extremely contagious and kills.

God has STOPPED all meetings and ministry in areas where virus exists.Isnt that proof enuff who to listen to?

U see the idiot Trump what he did?Watch those #s fly up like they have in some states ignoring the warnings.

We have to be smart......and U still might be in wrong place at wrong time.

And you be stupid as well.  Yes facts are facts.  And I am smart enough to be able to see them. I do not live in the fear monger media shadows.  And FYI Trump is YOUR president too unless you are in a country other than the US.  FYI the number of positive cases in the US is not the number of cases we have. People are way too stupid to subtract the recovered to get the real number.  And that is if the number is even correct. Too many are diagnosed as positive when they are not. But like I said or you said - you do you - stay in your house. Let the rest of the world live.

Just keep your eye on the Okla stats from the rally Trump had RE virus.

The clown felt compelled to have it to throw CRAP on the Dems, plus he knows the country is folding from all this under his watch.

His followers are too stupid and blind to even admit this. Then U have those that ask for a reason what has he done wrong.LOL!!!

I dont vote, but we wil see how Biden handles this.He needs to be humble and sincere while Trump buries himself.

I will echo those who say they're not sweating this virus thing. Do your due diligence, only go where you must, get outdoors sparingly and control your health and well being.

 >:( >:(

We reopened, then re-closed, and today I checked, our gym's are still closed!  Verify every two weeks until they decide to reopen.  Can't really get a list of what is open or closed and it is very frustrating!
