We go green next Friday
« on: June 20, 2020, 02:25:34 pm »
We are going green next Friday.  Everything will be open, masks must be worn in all buildings and large gatherings.  I have to make a appointment to get my hair cut, but I did make appointments for all my dogs to get groomed, they look so bad 😢 but on June 30th they will look great again!

Green, Yellow, Red or Purple, I am staying home anyway. I have nowhere to go and all day to get there, so I am not taking any risks with someone getting the color wrong and spiking a new outbreak. Uncle Sam deposits my monthly check by direct deposit, so I can enjoy another binge session on Netflix and stay unaffected by any color changes.

I am kind of glad to see things opening again in different places, but I'm still a little nervous to see if there's an upswing in serious COVID-19 cases. That being said, I'll be wearing my mask wherever I go and I will not go to any crowded places. I'll be glad when this whole thing is back to normal, but you can't exactly control a virus very much.  :peace:

Things are starting to rise in many states, California, Florida, Texas all had over 4000 new cases.  I don’t understand why people don’t wear masks, watch the states go back into red as cases continue to spike.  My governor slowly opened our state and require masks and our numbers have declined.

I am glad that there is a new push to get people to do the right thing and wear masks.  However, I am with Oldbuddy, I am staying for the most part and then wear a mask when I have to go out.

We only go out when we have to, and wear mask when we go in a store.  The number here are still going up.

With all the protests you cannot blame any spike or rise in cases on things opening back up. But I am sure that is where they will lay the blame.  As far as the whole thing being back to normal - that will never happen.  Life as we knew it will never be the same.  And it has nothing to do some some "virus".

Depending on where you are working it could be a bad situation. Some places it is really hot and wearing a piece of cloth over your face makes it difficult to breathe. I guess they can pay for the medical expenses when employees are passing out from heat related issues.

I saw a couple days ago where, I think it was the Florida Keys, has passed a resolution or law or whatever that anyone in any public place including out on a beach has to wear a mask or they can be fined. I am curious as to how that will be enforced.  I guess the tattle tales will be out in force wasting law enforcement's time.  I also think in the long run this is going to cost businesses a lot of money because people won't go. And the terrified cry babies won't be able to keep them afloat. ::)

I don't know what Florida considers itself and it really doesn't matter because I know our numbers are up and other than going to the grocery store with a mask on once a month I guess I won't be going anywhere.  Well at any rate enjoy your freedom.

lol I do enjoy my freedom.  Enjoy your life of fear.  This is not now nor has it ever been about some stupid flu virus.  And that is exactly what it is.  It is a new strain of the flu.  Everyone is not as lucky as you.  Some people have to work so there for hiding in their homes is not an option.  And if all the retail workers chose to hide in their homes there would be nothing on the shelf when you make your monthly trip to the store.  I really don't care what you do.  I don't care what anybody does.  It just amazes me at how many people get mad at me for not being afraid. lol

Not sure what you mean by "what Florida considers itself".    Florida does not seem to show the recovered cases, or not that I am seeing and I really do not care enough to look any longer.  You cannot focus on the positive cases but that number is incorrect. And of course the number will continue to go up - because they do not subtract the number of recovered.  You have to look at the number of recovered subtract the two and you get your total active cases.  And it is still no reason to shut life down and live in fear.  Less than 2% of the people who get this die.  It has a 98% recovery rate.  Nobody focuses on that. Dang, if they updated the flu like they are this you people would really be afraid to come out of your home.

As long as you have to wear a mask, I am not doing anything. The mask thing is nothing more than them saying, we can control you and I am not allowing that with in reason. >:(

Kind of humorous that people still compare the corona virus pandemic to a different strain of flu given that the average number of deaths from the flu, over the last ten years, has been between twenty four thousand and sixty two thousand. The United States is currently at one hundred and twenty two thousand six hundred and nine deaths from the corona virus. Most people would recognize this number as being considerably higher than the average flu count (almost double) and this many deaths has occurred in just under six months. 122609 out of one million, one hundred twenty four thousand, six hundred and seventy seven cases with an outcome have resulted in death which is ten point nine percent (more than one in ten are dying) per the center for disease control-not quite the ninety eight percent recovery rate offered with out a source.
