Country Music Fans

Last night I watched both parts of the Garth Brooks Biography on Netflix and if you have not seen it, I would highly recommend it. There is good reason he is so highly regarded by music lovers from all genres.

Just keep in mind, it is not a concert (although there is plenty of his music), but I learned more about his life and family than I could have imagined and it will enhance every future performance I attend. You can hear him sing all over YouTube, but never understand what makes him so great.

The thing Garth Brooks changed, is you did not need to be a Country Music Fan to push him to the top of the Billboard Charts for 26  weeks for, "If Tomorrow Never Comes". All you need to do is close your eyes and feel the lyrics.

Garth Brooks is to be in my town on June 27 performing the Drive-In Theater.  $100 per car, up to 6 people per car.

I would not consider myself a serious country music fan. However, there are some select artists that I enjoy listening to, such as Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift (I know, she borders on pop as well), and Hootie and the Blowfish.
