Monday Sadness
« on: June 10, 2020, 12:06:39 pm »
Is it just me or does anyone get sad or irritated on Mondays? The beginning of the work week.

Not while I'm working from home.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Not really. So many other things for people to be sad about. My Father passed away three weeks ago while my siblings and I were speaking to him in the hospital via face time, that was sad. His funeral was sad because none of my siblings came to pay their respects (but they sure have been around a lot asking about the last will and testament). My ten and a half year old Golden Retriever passed away five days ago, in our kitchen. That was sad and will be sad when we pick up her ashes. Thinking about those two things makes me think that Mondays are not really high up on things that make me sad. I have off this Monday so it will actually be a happy day. There is a song out there about a little girl (who killed a few people) called "I don't like Mondays" by the Boomtown rats.

I hate Mondays because you understand that you will have to work for the next 5 days until the next weekend

I have not disliked Mondays since I was in elementary school.  By the time I reached high school, I was more ready to be academically inclined so I was ready for my "work week".

Being a business owner, any day of the week is just about like the rest, so Mondays are fine with me.

During the school week and before the COVID pandemic, I actually used to enjoy Mondays because that meant my husband was going to work (downtown) every day and my boys were going back to college for the week and I could get a little bit of alone time. Since the pandemic, though, every day is like the other since my husband is working from home and my kids are home from school every single day. No more alone time for me, LOL! But thankfully I love being with my husband and boys, so it's not big deal.  :peace:

Monday was just another day when I had my own service. I worked 7 days a week plus holidays because I wanted to. at least half days on holidays. I didn't have to do that but I felt very loyal to my private clients and the local hospital and they appreciated it. The other larger hospitals expected it. I loved every minute of it and I'd still be working if I could.

I work from home doing surveys all the time so it is the same everyday. No days off ever so I really don't have much of weekend especially now since have the virus is floating around.
