Two wrongs don't make a right
« on: June 04, 2020, 04:46:42 pm »
This situation with protests and George Floyd is craziness.  These people who are looting and destroying property in his name is not right on any level.  I say they could care less about George Floyd.  They are using him as an excuse to do wrong.  It was not right how he died but yep two wrongs don't come out as a right.

A corrupt standard of fairness. Something "wrong" was done so "wrong" behavior in kind is the just response.

There are those who are out there for a peaceable protest, but there is always those who lose their stupid minds.  They turn something good into something horrific.

I totally agree with you debidoo. Looting doesn't honor George Floyd's memory. It's just a selfish and greedy act.

There are always bad eggs in almost everything.  Some people just took this as an opportunity to steal because that's what they wanted to do anyway.  I hope they catch as many as possible and punish them.

I agree with you too debidoo. The Black Lives Matter movement is itself a peaceful movement; it stands for peaceful protests, not the looting that has been going on. These looters have nothing to do with George Floyd  or peaceful protests in his name; they are just thugs and criminals out to take advantage of the situation.

i totally agree!
I will always support anyone who peacefully protests.
Destroying peoples businesses and property is wrong!
It seems worse now since most people are having trouble just keeping their businesses open! :rainbow: :peace:

As you watch this notice that the peaceful protesters are on one street and one street or two over are the  looters..the looters are just opportunist who think they can get away with it because of the protest distraction.  On our local news you saw the looters who were well organized with 1 or 2 people going in to rob, loot, destroy with someone else waiting in a car for a quick get away.  They are not doing the looting in the poorer areas only in the areas with lots of more expensive stores...drug stores and cbd stores do not have a chance.

Where is the outrage and sympathy for retired police captain David Dorn? Mr. Dorn who was black was killed by looters while trying to defend his friend's *bleep* shop. From the pictures of captain Dorn I saw on fox news, he looked like a kind, caring man who will be dearly missed by family and friends! Yet since his death doesn't fit the looney left's narrative, it somehow doesn't count??? I think those on the left in particular need to take a long look in the mirror!

Where is the outrage for the white man who was stomped and kicked to death by a bunch of black thugs while trying to stop looters from destroying his business?  Until people are willing to stop seeing it as color of skin and good and evil nothing will ever change.

This is exactly what I said in another post.  I was watching the Spanish news and a reporter in California, said he had witnessed and recorded.  The peaceful protesters were 2 blocks to his right and the rioters came in trucks 2 blocks to his left, he said just like in the movies, some people went broke windows, looted and the ones on the trucks were counting the minutes, then said is time to go, the other ones came out and torched the store.  He was very specific and clarified 3 times, this was a different group to the peaceful protesters.  It is very sad that people taken advantage of protests to vandalized, it is not right and they should be ashamed of themselves.

The major of Atlanta express everyones feelings very well the other day.

What happened to George Floyd was wrong, but what these people are doing is worst.  They are taking the focus off of what happened to him and putting on them.  It is not supporting him in any way, it is just criminal.
