There is nothing Humane about being human because the human race has something called a soul & lately humans have been representing a soulless character. Animals don't kill for pleasure, anger, or revenge. They live life in terms of instinct, hunting for food, territory, or fighting to protect themselves & family. We, have a few laws, policies that help keep us moral & good but it's not perfect & there many countries that don't follow boundaries, rules & regulations that keep the peace. So, no the terror, hate, killings, wars, murder will continue into the future. Unless we, become enlighten & learn to accept our differences, as strength not weakness!

The animal thing you touched on is something I have thought about before. Behavior is black and white but unlike the non human animal, we as humans will corruptly justify and callously dismiss our behavior.

Very interesting.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

I don't think things are going to get better.  I asked a friend who is a few years older than me if the riots and such had been this bad before and he said YES and left it at that.  I don't think it has.  But maybe back in the 60's it was.  And don't do some stupid inflation comparison to the times.  I don't think things have ever been this bad in the United States. There are no protests or riots right where I live but some are getting closer.

@linderlizzie - No things are not going to get better.  The return of Christ is at our door steps.  And after the rapture things are really going to get bad. People can laugh if they want.  They laughed at Noah and then cried for help when they realized they were all going to die.

The Ronnie King Riots were pretty bad and lasted a few days, but they were concentrate mostly in Los Angeles.  That is the one I remember vividly, but I think they were some too when OJ trial.

But mostly like you said for what I have read 60s' were very bad.

I remember the OJ trial but do not remember any riots. That was black on black crime which usually does not get much attention.  I barely remember it but certainly don't remember riots all over the country.  The Rodney King I was not around so nope I don't remember that.  I need to google and see if I can find more info about how things were.  You also have to be careful because a lot of the videos that are being shown now are from years ago.  There was one of a black man crying and screaming at other black people who had looted and destroyed his store.  He had worked his whole life to have it and they destroyed it right in front of him.  People were commenting and wanting to help him and then someone else pointed out the video is actually from 1992.

The sad thing is most of the people who are involved in these riots are not people from that area.  It is people who are paid and bussed in to cause problems.  And it just breeds hate.  People need to wake up.  This does not need to be blacks against whites. It needs to be good against evil. But I am truly afraid it has gone too far.

The OJ trial was not black on black, Nicole and her friend were white. I don’t remember any riots then at all.   I agree that they have bused people in to ‘join’ the riots.  I saw on the news people were screaming you’re not from Philadelphia get out.  I don’t understand what the reason is burning and looting business, they did nothing to cause this riot.  You are taking away what some innocent person has spent their life savings to start and work sometimes 18 hours A day to keep it running.  Why must things be black vs white?  Why can’t we just live together in peace?

Oh, I thought she was black. I was young. And the news was not so in your face. I kind of remember seeing some stuff on the news about it.  And I remember a very loud vocal man screaming GDMF over and over in a public place.

It has been along time since I remember it being this bad. It is a scary time in the world.

I did not think it had ever been this bad.  That is why I was asking.  It has been 20 years or so since people have mentioned riots all over the place.  And the news was not so in your face like it is right now.  We did not keep the news on all the time at home.  I don't keep it on tv wise but see a lot on the internet or Twitter.  I need to take a break from all of that.  Someone had mentioned the 60s and my friend said it has been this bad before. But honestly, I do not think it has. I think this is worse. Idk.

This has been the worst riots  that I can remember. Was alive in 67 and 68 but just 10 or 11 so don't remember much.   Then you add the covid and things are bad. Noticed some protesters wearing masks but many didn't.  Do think there will be more  stores broken into tonight. Some guy filming was bragging about the shoes he got and another saying he got an x box. Will have to see what happens.

I have never seen anything this bad before now.  I understand the peaceful protest to honor the injured party, but destroying personal property or public property is uncalled for.  This is criminal and is not a good way to express your feelings.

I have actually talked to a couple of other people this afternoon and they say it has been this bad before.  Back in the 60s it was this bad.  I think it is just so in your face right now. It is every where and all anybody talks about.  And there are thousands of videos.  And you have to be careful because a lot of the videos are not from this.

I do not recall things ever being this bad before. First the virus that has killed more than one hundred and six thousand people and infected more than one million and eight hundred thousand in the United States alone. Pairing up with this horror is another senseless death that is fanning the racial divide and has added at least two more deaths related to protesting. Big cities are enforcing curfews and calling in the National Guard. I do not foresee much improvement over the year to come. People are letting their guard down too soon and a second wave of corona virus deaths are forecast. The court case for the police officer involved in George Floyd's death will create another wave of riots as will the subsequent sentencing-regardless of the outcome. I have read that the millenials are experiencing the worst environment ever.

Not to my knowledge - I am 66 and I know there were violent protests limited in scope and area but this is all over and absolutely insane.  I think these people need to be gathered up and put in jail and I don't know how possible and realistic that is going to be.  Look up Kent State shootings.

I remember watching a movie about 10 or 15 years ago about some academic men from the 1800s arguing about whether or not society could live with just societal rules on being kind as opposed to loving God and the biblical rules about kindness that follow. One of the academic men got pulled into the 1990s somehow  (I forget how) and finds that the further a society is from God and the Bible, the more hatred and meanness they show their fellow man. Now, I realize there are some perfectly nice people who are non-religious, but I'm just wondering if this faithlessness could be ruining society as a whole.  :peace:

It was somewhat before my time but there were a lot of riots in the 60s and of course the Kent State murders in the early seventies. I think a lot of it seems worse now because everyone has a phone and can film everything, Back in the 60s/70s these things were happening but there was not evidence.

This is true.  You have no idea how often you are recorded or your picture is taken. I know a guy that does that all the time just in case he can get something he can use.  ::)

Also with all the digital age you have instant access to every piece of news that happens every where.  A kid passes gas in class in the UK and it is on our news here in the US within an hour.

I 100% agree with this.  And everything happening right now is foretold in the Bible. We are living in the end times.  Most people in the world today do not give a flip about what is right.  I want to think there is less hate than the media leads us to believe.  The media is a huge part of the problem.  That and most people seem to have hearing problems.  Most people are so concerned with how they are going to respond they do not even hear what the other person is saying.  Or they just hear one small part of what the other person says and toss the rest out and come out swinging.

I read somewhere yesterday that we are fixing to be in the middle of another Civil War.  I could honestly see that happening.

I guess that's why some people have made a distinction between listening and hearing but that's part of the problem. In my other post, I was going to say that I believe the biggest reason in part comes from a constructed and ultimately worthless sense of a self. One is more concerned with responding to defend oneself then trying understand what is being said because unfortunately many individuals can only take things personally because one will only take things personally and not everything is personal.

After Martin Luther King and RFK were killed citiies burned in the 60s.I was in JR high in 1963 when JFK was killed.Unrest followed, especially in South with discrimination.

Today is bad too.Man will NOT fix it.Politicians are even at each others throat.I saw where Gov Cuomo mocked Trump on bringing military in to states.A house divided will NOT stand says bible.

There is no answer.Remain neutral and Pray to God for his kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven.

BTW,that was a real joke Trump holding up a bible in front of a church yesterday. The bible doesnt say he will MAGA.

Please someone show him scripture RE what Jesus said if you draw your sword.,AND what saying reads on the UN!!
