I would take a picture of your lawn and photoshop the dry spots out, then send it to them. It would be interesting to see if they actually get off their chairs to come and see for themselves.

I am sure they have their own pictures. Most people are not good enough with photoshop to fool anybody anyway.

Need to get rid of the H oa i dont belong to it.    I'd like to throw a bunch of crap on their homes.   If a leaf falls down from a tree you gonna be sited for that  probably.

How does one even know if they're in a town with a HOA? I'd like to know so I don't get stuck with them. I wouldn't put up with them for long, I can tell you that!

It has nothing to do with the town, it's the development bou buy from and it will be listed in your closing statement with the fee you pay.

There are always troublemakers in every community.
They do not have anything better to do.
They like to create chaos for others.
Check out your area and look what may be wrong.
If you own a jolape (decrepit car), that is your business.
Clean it up. Cover it up to make it nice.
Junk is treasure for some people.

This is one of the reasons why when I owned my houses, I was not part of any association telling me how to or what to do with my property. I always keep my lawn cut and neat but dry spots sometimes can't be helped. especially in these tough times we are in :peace:

I got a letter from my communities HOA about a few dry spots on my lawn.  What is wrong with these people.  Now if I started throwing trash out there or junk cars I could understand but I am 66 years old, have multiple serious health issues and we are supposed to be staying at home.  The letter was harsh and bordered on threatening.  I will never feel the same about my neighborhood again.  I texted the HOA president and let her know that my lawn guy would be back soon attending to the lawn and let her know I didn't under the current circumstances appreciate the harshness of the letter or considering it was my first notification.  It is like business as usual even if it isn't.

Actually it was harsh, I think when you buy a home you need to take care of the outside just as you do on the inside.  Ugly lawns  affects the neighborhood and when people do not take care of their property it looks bad when someone wants to move into the neighborhood.  You've got to have nice curb appeal.  This is the first thing people see.

I own a townhouse with my daughter and it has a HOA but the lawn and all the shrubs etc are part of the HOA maintenance fee that we pay.  But agree HOA are the worst.  We need the gutters cleaned because the other day the rain water was pouring over side instead of the side and got a email that they are scheduled to be cleaned in the fall when the leaves fall.  Well guess that means they were not done last fall of the rain water would have come down the spout instead of over the side

I'm glad you notified the office.  OldBuddy I like that idea, she can get a young person to photo it if she want to go that far.

First make sure the HOA is legit because a lot of them are not and just try for force people to do things which are not in there own power to do. Two Most of those things are corrupt to begin with the leaders usually take in money to keep up there life style not the benefit of no neighborhood. Besides to bug people over dry patches of lawn during this time is kinda retarded to do since a lot of people who normally do gardening maintenance are not even working right now because of covid19. Lastly some HOA are just people who like to harass others

I try to avoid HOA's , but it's not a deal breaker if I am looking to buy in a nice clean neighborhood. Then do accomplish worthwhile goals if run the right way.
