We did ours in middle of February and received refund on Federal taxes, before we left on out vacation (went HOME) beginning of March, which we are glad it had been planned and done before the crisis hit.  My daughters also did and received their refunds before we left.

We do ours thru turbotax for years, and have not had any issues with them

Haven't filed yet we don't pay tax3s on s.s.. We do have to pay 500.00 a year for a 7500.00 amount we got in 2008 when we bought a house.  Nice we can wait awhile to pay that .

I have already filed my taxes and received my refund.  I do my own taxes online through Turbo Tax.  I can sit at home and put the information in and the site using that to submit the taxes.

I have not done my 2019 taxes yet. I will get them done later this summer since I have many things going on right now.

Why do you have to pay $500 a year for a $7500 amount when you bought a house 12 years ago? That makes no sense at all.
