Social Distancing
« on: March 17, 2020, 01:17:31 am »
It's been in the news about staying away from crowds and bars, restaurants. Funny thing in this is perfect for me because I don't like being around a lot of people anyway! I definitely will have my husband, son, and cat with me home and plenty of Netflix, streaming and food.

I'm kind of a home-body too.  But now that everything is shutting down, I feel compelled to go everywhere.  I'll probably get over it and just go on living my normal life...at home.

I've been working from home for the past nine years so I've been preparing for this.

I don't like big crowds myself.

I am not the most social person but i do like to get out at least every couple of days. right now going out is a very scary prospect.  Having fewer people around and  trying to keep 6 ft away from others  helps but doesn't really calm my fears. stay healthy. :rainbow: :peace:

Yeah, I know what you mean! My husband and I have been practicing social distancing for some years now, especially since our kids have been in college, LOL! So in some ways the virus and the social distancing we need to mitigate the spread of the virus is nothing out of the ordinary for us!  :peace:

I really do not enjoy this been working for home since last week and miss the interaction with my co-workers.  We are keeping in touch thru messaging and asking questions on tasks that we need to complete but it is not same.

I don't mind staying at home if I have food, but people are going so crazy they are buying up all the food at the grocery store.  Occasionally I do like to go out to eat.

You don't realize all the things you do that interact with people - from going to the dry cleaning to getting your hair cut. It is hard to stay in total isolation.

It's definitely weird, but in some ways I'm liking it....so much more flexibility and freedom....what's amazing though is how many people are still out and about....I have a friend that works at Home Depot...I stopped by to drop off some things and the place was packed...I was like...."really"? what compels people to go to Home Depot during a pandemic?

I think we may go get gas the lawn mowers so we can go ahead and start our outside work.
