Are you leaving the house this weekend?
« on: March 13, 2020, 08:22:14 am »
I hate cold weather so I hibernate in the winter I don't leave the house unless I have to just to go to work or shopping.  Now with the covid-19 madness I'm trying to stay a decent distance away from people.  I need some gas and gas prices have been going down. Got to check my toilet paper supply.  Haven't been hoarding food or supplies more than normal.   Been thinking if I have to go out the best time would be late at night when not a lot of people are out.

Well it isn't cold here in central Florida but we have two cases of the virus in my county (they won't say what town) so I will go to the grocery store later and then not go out again for several days.

I'm going to pick up as many fresh vegetables/fruits as I can at Aldi's first thing in the morning & top my tank off with gas, & then Me & my family will be practicing social distancing for the next two weeks as it looks like everyone will be off work & school for the next two weeks. All for the greater good...

Thankfully it is supposed to continue raining next week so that will make it easier.

We probably won't leave this weekend.  I can work at home, so I will, but my husband will be going to work.

Our church is still having services, and we are having a reception during the Sunday School hour for our associate pastor who is nine months pregnant and leaving our church for a new assignment in June. I don't have to leave the house this weekend except for that. I was expecting the event to be cancelled, but got an email that it would still be held, and that refreshments would be served "in a sanitary manner."  I just read that there will be no live audience at the Grand Ole Opry until at least April 4th!  The Opry has been on the radio for 94 years, and will go back to this original format during the virus scare.

The only time my husband and I are going out this weekend is to Costco to try to stock up a little bit more on food and general living stuff. Both of my boys are home from college and will be doing distance-learning through their college to finish out the semester. My husband will be working from home for the next few weeks (as will everybody else in his office) until some of this COVID-19 blows over. I work from home anyway. So we have no intention of going out anywhere much over the next few weeks.  :peace:

I'm staying home since I'm an old senior citizen so I guess it's best to stay in

We are probably going to go food shopping at some point but other than that we are stuck inside. With no sports on TV it should be interesting. Maybe a lot of time on fusioncash :)

I have tickets for a Shakespeare play at the theater tomorrow. Unfortunately they've cancelled all performances until April due to the coronavirus. So now I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Probably go out for dinner and drinks.

It's going to be raining and I have everything I need so I'll be staying at home. :)
