Ohio schools are going on Virus break

It looks like here in Ohio, the governor has just announced that all schools state-wide will soon be on a three week break to help combat the spread of the virus. Not sure if there will be contingency plans for online classes or just a really long spring break.  It is supposed to start after Monday and continue through April 3rd.

Have any other states followed suit? Not sure if this was an independent decision of if Ohio looked to any contingency plans in place elsewhere.

Harvard is also doing this to prevent the virus, going to online classes though. 
Probably with the amusement parks, casinos, cruise ship suspensions and the incoming travel ban we should be able to contain this pandemic!

I heard that a few schools and the unl  are closing for a while also.  Some sports events only allowed immediate family to attend.

Yes, our Governor announced today all schools in Maryland closed beginning Monday until the 27th.

Several counties in Georgia are closing schools because of the virus. Nascar fans at the Atlanta speedway were told to go home today. Everything around here is closing down.

I have seen that several state have closed school. All of our public colleges are closed,

Here i Georgia, several Counties are closing Schools and eventually all Schools in Georgia will be closed. All of the Stores are closing as well, except for WalMart.

A few school districts near me are closing too. Even though I've been out of school for many many years I felt like a little kid watching the news eager for my school to appear on the screen.

Our NJ schools are closed next week and the kids are going to online classes. It will be interesting how this works out. My daughter is a senior in college and she is coming home to finish her classes on-line. She may not even have a graduation which would be a shame since she worked so hard and deserves the recognition.

All schools in Illinois are closed starting Tuesday.  Have to go in Monday to their schoolwork to do during the 2 week closure and the governor says he will monitor the situation and many extend the closure if needed.

MD schools are closed through the 27th...a lot of universities in the DMV are on break now but go to online classes when they return....
