Don't like rude

I've blocked and muted quite a few people here.

You cannot "block" people in here.  Unless it is a new feature.  All you can do is "ignore" the member and then you just don't see what they post but you still see them with a notice that "you are ignoring this member".  I have suggested a block feature.

Sometimes being rude is what gets them off and they seem to think they are smarter than other people.  That is really sad.  I've had to block one person since I've been on FC.

How do you BLOCK people?  As far as I am aware there is NO block feature.  There is an "ignore" but that is not the same as blocking.

I'm not really trying to stir up any trouble here, but once before I thought it would be interesting to post a reply in a topic that was at or very close to the end of the unlocked topics that still allowed replies to be posted.  This one was 2 or 3 away from that cutoff point.


I personally don't think it is worth it to "ignore" any users here unless they are consistently and only posting vulgarities or outright spam.

You know in all the years I have been a member here I have blocked only two members that I can think of - the 2nd was today.  I just don't get why people have to be rude towards others.  If you don't like what someone posts move on don't say rude stuff.  I just don't get it but I don't have to see it either.  As my granny used to say if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.  Do you agree or do you think people should post whatever they want no matter how rude.

I think for some, it's to get noticed.  Sad but true.

I don't really care what people post. I don't know anybody in these forums and their opinion does not matter to me. I reply to comments and go on with my day.

I don't really care what people post. I don't know anybody in these forums and their opinion does not matter to me. I reply to comments and go on with my day.

You go outta your way to try and have members banned and what you can dig up behind closed doors on others.

Many here also know you are quite controversial and you would stir up an ice cream soda until it became poison.

I have been on this site for several years and I have only blocked one person.  This person was rude and consistently would reply to posts that I didn't care for the comments made by this person.

I haven't blocked or ignored anyone, I just skip over whenever I see their names.  Most of the time I feel like here people are supportive and just enjoy the conversations.  I know I always have.  Especially now when we don't get out so much.

I agree, I don't like rude either. I've gotten to the point where I just ignore the person. Keep doing that and you won't have to worry about see what they post. There are some who are sensitive and take most things to heart like myself so I watch how I respond to people on here and anywhere else out of respect. If I don't agree, I don't have to be nasty and rude to that person just don't respond. And I have used the mute feature before.

I was raised the same way and I try to stay positive.  I skip over some of the people on this forum for that very reason.  There's no need for everything to turn into an argument or rude debate.

And some people are snowflakes and take everything personal or get mad when someone does not just totally agree with them. Someone not agreeing with you does not make them rude. I have seen a lot of foolish stuff posted in these forums. But never thought or said oh that person is rude because they don't agree with me. OR with anyone else.
