Don't like rude

You know in all the years I have been a member here I have blocked only two members that I can think of - the 2nd was today.  I just don't get why people have to be rude towards others.  If you don't like what someone posts move on don't say rude stuff.  I just don't get it but I don't have to see it either.  As my granny used to say if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.  Do you agree or do you think people should post whatever they want no matter how rude.

P.S. Lest someone should think I am against free speech I am not however I think in a forum like this there isn't any need or cause to be rude to other members and it isn't stifling someone's free speech if you block them it just means I don't have to read their rudeness.

I don't think people should make rude comments on other people's posts.  If they can't contribute to the post, then they should not say anything.

Yes, I know what you mean, debidoo. I also cannot understand some people's predilection toward rudeness, whether it's on this board or anywhere else, for that matter. I don't know if it's just wanting to cause a kerfluffle, just part of a cantankerous personality, or if they just don't know any better, LOL! But I agree with you completely that it's important to protect free speech so that we don't come to a time when our very opinion is illegal. Just like you said, the best bet is to just block a rude person and to not respond.

I do understand what you're saying Debidoo.🤔 The People on here that does that are unhappy in their own lives and it shows on their responses to you and so forth. They try to get to you over the internet when all you have to do is move on to another topic. But instead they find pleasure in being nasty and judgemental towards others who are just venting and don't expect negativity to hit them . Like your grandma said, You don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all.  No people shouldn't post whatever they want and that's one of the rules here, RESPECT one another. ❤

I would love that because if everyone followed that, the world would be a very a quiet place.

I don't get why people have to be rude? We are all here for the same thing to reach the 30 post and collect the $3. If you are not interested in the thread move on until you find one that interest you ya. It is very simple!

I think some people just like to stir up discourse.  Negativity seems to hover over them.  I have ignored a few people on here that only seems to post rude comments.  I can see that they have commented on some of my posts but since I have chosen to ignore them and don't see them, their posts do not bother me.

Some people are very argumentative and take exception to every post.  Life is short. Focus on the positive. And don't attack me for my personal opinion.

I am in full agreement with you. As far as I am concerned, life is too short to ignore the ignore button.  ( A little play on words ).

There were a few times where I have seriously considered leaving the forum. I have grown quite tired of the senselessness that goes on. 

In answer to the rest of your question, no, I do not believe that people should be allowed to post whatever rudeness they please.

Have to agree with all of you and I understand that others want to voice their opinion but there is a way of stating things so they do no sound rude or that your opinion doesn't matter.  I haven't blocked anyone but there are couple that I do not respond to because it is not worth my time

There's always one bad apple in the bunch.  I have blocked one member who gets her rocks off always showing her butt.  I don't get it either.  You seem like such a nice person on this forum for someone to be rude too.
