Diet Aids
« on: March 06, 2020, 03:55:16 am »
Has anyone on the forum had experience with over the counter diet aids?  Was anything effective?  Did you find any of these diet aids had side effects? What did you like or not like?

I was planning on trying those a while back but while I was in the pharmacy looking over the options available, the pharmacist came over to me and said they are all quite bad for you and that I shouldn't buy them.

Wowzers! I would've put them back too.  Some aids are proven to cause heart and liver damage.

I tried Acai and Garcinia (I think I spelled that wrong) but I don't remember them doing anything spectacular honestly.  I think these aids help most in combination with exercises and healthful eating habits.

Totally agree with the pharmacist and my daughter is a dietitian and would have a fit if I ever tried using them.

Unfortunately, I've never had much luck with diet aids of any kind. The ones with caffeine or ephedra always made me nervous and jittery. Any other diet products seemed to just not do anything. Of course, there were a lot I didn't try due to not wanting to spend a lot of money, LOL! Hopefully you'll have a lot more luck than I did in this endeavor!  :peace:
