RuneScape has fallen from grace
« on: February 17, 2020, 09:54:45 pm »
RuneScape has fallen from grace in the OSRS gold past few decades. Runescape players have left in droves as a result of implementation of hefty MTX promotions and many broken promises concerning promised new content that was eventually scrapped (group ironman, expansions, bank rework to mention a few.) It was initially a maintained version of runescape circa late 2007 free from the notorious December 10th update that haemorrhaged most of the runescape player base. It has since obtained free to play support, an open PvP game style with 5X hastened XP rates, a brand-new continent, heaps of new quests, items, dungeons and supervisors, whilst maintaining the mechanics of the core sport. Best of all, it's done this in ways without the energy creep and bloat that T90, T80, T92 and T95 content in RS3 did.

OSRS has not been free of controversy. Fears of a severe data breach which emerged last year were verified when it emerged a corrupt Jagex team member had been funnelling billions of game gold from runescape player accounts for months and selling it around for real world money.

Rs3 is still quite rewarding and they can push mtx with very little pushback in comparison with osrs (there is pushback for a number of the worst of all, but runescape players normally applaud anything that makes the current situation less bad). How rs3 that is dead is has been exaggerated. It'll last another 5-10 years with busy growth and likely more if current trends remain.

Yeah, about that... You overlook how widespread Zulrah gear is? Twisted-*bleep*-bow, the item that's still over 1b and is just ridiculously good? Theatre of blood gear? Cerberus boots, Each of the 100m + items, Dwarhammer etc.? What's worse is the cash gap between gear tiers being mad. Additionally, reminder that nearly all of the"new" content is literally RS3 content using a paint job and buy osrs gold safe the skill ceiling is pretty much tied to prayer ticks aside from understanding the fundamental mechanics and some placement. I also personally despise the fact that even regular monsters are getting to be something you can't afk 1 bit because they simply need to have some dumb mechanics attached to them.

I use to play that as a teenager but once they ended the very old classic version I dipped out for the most part.

My wife still plays RuneScape. I usually refer it as RuinScape.

I played it for 30mins back when I was a preteen and gave up on the game due to unfairness and bots all over the servers.
