My chuckle on a survey this morning
« on: February 10, 2020, 05:02:04 am »
Ok, so I took a survey just now -- one of the first questions was my age (65), then a question if I had any children under 18 living in my household (ok, that could be possible), the next question was am I pregnant or expecting to be pregnant in the next months..... I had to laugh out loud....... so I answered honestly and got my DQ bonus from Tap.  Nice to start my Monday with a laugh!!

That is Funny. They have to know by your age if you can have Children. They should have Disqualified you when you told your age.

I’ve got that too. At 59 it would be somewhat of a miracle.  If I was I think my husband would died of a heart attack when I told him 😜

At my age and for another reason, I'd be in the Guiness Book of Records! It would be more than a miracle.

I'm 62, so the thought of expecting another baby now would be terrifying!  I loved being pregnant with our four kids and would give birth to another if that were possible, but I do not want to raise anymore babies/kiddos.
I am enjoying grandparenting.  Don't want another round of parenting.

Yes, that would have made me giggle or even laugh out loud.  I never have any problem with that.  This kind of ranks right up there with the sign at the check out line of the store that reads 'We Card Everyone'.

Of course I get my laugh for the day when the 80 year old man in front of me with a case of beer is getting carded.  But hey, the law is the law, right?   :silly:

It's rare that we get to lol when taking surveys, so good for you!  I get those disconnects all the time where I've answered a question and the next question makes no sense according to what I answered on the previous question.  For instance, I state that I'm retired, then the next question asks me how many people are in my company!

I just experienced another example.  The survey asked when was the last time I visited A...?  I answered "never."  The next question asked, "Which device do you use most often to visit A...?"

When I was a grocery clerk, we were told to ask them to show ID if they appeared to be over 37. You shouldn't have to ask an elderly person at all. Duh.

I have also had the occasional question that does not make sense. One that I have seen more recently asked if wore a uniform for my job. I answered no, and the following question required me to select what type of uniform I wore for my job.

I got a great paying Tap survey today on how I search for new nonprofits.  Of course, I did not fit the survey because the existing nonprofits I give to do not afford me the luxury of searching out new ones, but I got $0.19 for completing the survey!

True -- reminds me of the time a local chain restaurant wouldn't seat my 90 year old dad in the bar area (we live in Indiana and you have to be 21 to be in the bar area of a restaurant) because he didn't have an ID.....absolutely NO common sense!
