I get calls from my own cell number quite often.  I just hit decline call and go on.
Have a wonderful day!

So the last 3 days I have getting calls that show my home number on the caller ID and have been ignoring them.  Very weird since I know I cannot call my own home using my landline.  I first I thought it was glitch but when I answered it today it was a robo call stating this is Angela from Microsoft.  Amazing what people can do now a days.

Your number if being spoofed.  If is not weird.  It happens all over the place.  Most likely your number is being used to call others as well.  I know several people this has happened to.  I was with a friend when he got a call from himself.

I talk to myself but never called myself....have to try it some day.... ;) :silly:

I've also had that but I never answer and this month I got rid of my landline and only use the cell.  I let almost everything go to voicemail.

Well from what I have read and understand it is completely okay to talk to yourself.  It is even okay to answer yourself.  BUT if you ever start to argue with yourself you just might have a problem. haha

I get robo-calls constantly.  If I don't have at least 2-3 per day, something is wrong! LOL!! I even had one about a month ago showing 000-000-0000.  What the heck is that? Anyone else had a call where it showed that was the number calling?

I have.  It was getting so bad at my home with robocalls even after I used a blocker, that I no longer answer my phone unless I know the person or phone number. They got around the blocker by using my area code. I'm down to 3 a day now, always the same numbers. I have tried reporting them to the do not call lists for state and federal government, but it does no good. I'm getting so disgusted I feel like cutting my phone all together.

I must have 50-60 numbers blocked on my phone but they buy a list of new numbers and keep on dialing.  I, too, rarely answer numbers that I don't know even when they are from my own area code.

I know what you mean! I got a call day before yesterday saying several lawsuits had been filed against me and I need to call and take action before they come to my house.  I didn't panic bc I'd gotten the call last year and researched and found out it was a scam to get payment/my info.

Forgot to mention: plus, the lady, who by the way sounded quite legit, addressed me (on the voice machine) by my married name and I've been divorced for a few years now, which is why I knew her info was out of date/not accurate.

I've never had my own phone number spoofed... weird, for sure -- they just keep evolving new ways to get around the blocks.  I do get a lot of robo calls, not as much as last year, but they still occur.  I have NOMOrobo on my home phone, I really need to add it to my cell phone.

Last year I was getting a lot of spam calls from Russia... like I would answer that.
