MSNBC needs to fire this racist. She meant what she said when she called Kobi a N. How do get Lakers mixed up with Nakers? By stuttering?  >:( At a time like this she had the audacity to be so disrespectful. I signed a petition to have her fired

What?! I am surprised I haven't heard about this until just now. Let me look up this moron to get more clarity on the situation.

Either way, what a *bleep*. I hope she gets fired and never works in the field again.

I hadn't heard about this one. But it won't surprise me if nothing comes from it. You can say or do anything you want if you work for MSNBC or CNN and any racist remarks or reactions are explained away, exonerated, and excused (look at Don Lemon's latest "non racist" reaction to on-air guests making fun of southern conservatives), but just by virtue of working at FOX News, you are automatically racist in the most neutral and objective observations about anything.

I think you need to take a closer look at Fox News and some of the idiots that make all kinds of inaccurate and vicious statement on there.  Then there are the conspiracy theorists who have made some of the most ridiculous claims I have ever heard.  I have not heard about Alison so I am going to research and see if I can find something about this.

Since I did not hear this journalist and her reporting on this, I can only go by what I've read.  There is a lot of controversy on both sides, with some claiming that they believe she had a mishap and stuttered and with others saying she did it purposely.  It is hard to believe that a national newscaster would do something like this purposely in front of an audience of millions.  Wanda Sykes stated that she believes that it was a verbal falter.  I can't say clearly which it was, but I tend to believe no national newscaster would do such a thing intentionally on air.  That would be downright crazy!

I do take a very close look at many of the Fox News shows, and most of what they say is far more accurate, honest, objective, and on point than what I have seen on most of the other cable and mainstream networks.

OMG. Give me a break.  ::)

I don't know who this person is, so I don't know her history. But I just watched the video on YouTube after seeing this post, and from what I heard, she just flubbed up while speaking. You can't tell me you've never started to say one word and finished with another. Or thought one word and spoke another and mashed them together. Nakers doesn't sound anything like the other word, and she immediately corrected herself.

I hope no one ever comes for your throat for stumbling over a word. You people are vicious.

Don't know who she is but if she corrected herself and apologized immediately I think she deserves a break.  She could have ignored her mistake and then it would have been worse

I doubt it will happen. Look at who HASN'T been fired because of racism. Same with CNN. I haven't watched those two networks in years. They've been caught in lies too often for me.

I hadn't heard about that either. That's horrible. No room for people like that in the world.

We may never know what her intentions were or were not.  I listened to the clip a few times.  She sounded a little hyper ( maybe too much caffeine ).

It also sounded like she had too many words to say in a short span of time so she was rushed.  That could easily cause a mispronunciation.

Anyone who has a position as a reporter has the responsibility to focus on correct pronunciation throughout the whole interview.  This is especially true of news items as sensitive as this one.

If you haven't noticed, this country is full of racists.  Seems like it has gotten worse the past 2-3 years.
Have a wonderful day!
