This is a new rule that the country is trying to pass. Do you agree? Yes, No?

Absolutely not! I have two teenagers and that is how I communicate with them. I don't know how something so silly could actually pass.

Where in the world did you come up with this?  This is not true at all.

It really is none of no one else's business what you do with your child.  If I want my 7 year old to have access to a phone that is MY business.  This is bogus anyway.  Like someone else said the majority of the states you are an adult at 18.  Lots of teens work or even drive to school.  Cell phones are a part of the world we live in.

This is no different than the idiots trying to ban sodas. If you don't want a phone don't have one.  Don't want your kid to have one - then don't.  Don't want to eat or drink something then don't.  But stop trying to control what every one else does.

No, I don't agree as that seems tad high for something like a cellphone. I figure as soon as the kid(s) enter high school, they ought to get one.

I just read about this. There's more to the story. A senator in Vermont proposed the bill to ban cell phones for people under 21, knowing that it won't pass, and he even said he wouldn't vote for it. It's illegal for someone under 21 to buy a gun in VT. So, it was to prove a point that cell phones are just as dangerous, because of texting and driving, bullying, mass shootings and suicide on social media, etc.

I saw this a few days ago it was one specific state forgot which one but they were saying that kids use cell phones to bully other kids and also distracted driving.  Well if you want to bully someone you can still use a computer so they going to ban computers, tablets and laptops for under 21 too?

I do not agree, a cell phone is a good way to keep up with your child and for them to learn

Guns are not dangerous.  It is all about the person who has the gun.  And a cell phone is nothing close to the same as a gun.  Eating too many cheeseburgers causes people to be fat and high cholesterol.  What are you gonna do?  Lock people in a box and only feed them fresh veggies and water to drink?  Force them to exercise 2 hours a day?

I saw this a few days ago it was one specific state forgot which one but they were saying that kids use cell phones to bully other kids and also distracted driving.  Well if you want to bully someone you can still use a computer so they going to ban computers, tablets and laptops for under 21 too?

I see more adults texting than driving than "kids".  Actually cell phone usage at all by any one of any age is against the law while driving.  It still happens.  People drive drunk or doped up on drugs.  I guess we need to just ban cars.  Everyone can take a taxi if they want to get from point A to point B.

I do not agree, a cell phone is a good way to keep up with your child and for them to learn

Kids do not use cell phones to "learn".  They use it for playing on the internet, playing games, social media, talking to friends.  Either way, it is no one else's business at what age you decide to get your child a cell phone.  As crazy as things in this world are especially at school I do not have any issues with kids as young as first grade having a way to call or text a parent.  As long as the phones are not out during class.

There is good and bad in everything.  I am glad I went to school before everyone had a phone.  I mean it is disgusting that you can't go to the bathroom or change clothes in gym class without having to worry about being videoed or having your picture taken.  But sadly that is not even the biggest thing girls have to worry about.  Some stupid boy decides he feels like a girl and he is allowed to use the girls locker room.  This world is disgusting.

No I don't.  I think that kids need cell phones especially for emergencies.  I do think that some kids spend too much time on their cellphones, but this should be the parents who control when they can use them and not the government.

Parents should set age limits and also how and when the phones are used
