Good question! I have tried to make some money on line.
Many websites promise good incomes...but never deliver.
There has to be a better way!

I appreciate all your answers.  My husband isn't able to work outside the home and has been wondering  what may be available.

I would like to work from home also as I can't physically do any real labor. I don't know of anything.

I'd look at a site called rat race rebellion. Think they have some real jobs at home. Looked at a few interesting .

I think one of the easiest jobs I've come across is transcription. Rev is "hiring" transcribers, even without experience, if you can type. They don't ask for experience or schooling. You just have to be able to pass their test. The pay is not great compared to working for a standard transcription company, but it's a great way to get  your foot in the door. Good luck!  :peace:

Do you actually do this?  I looked at it.  Rev has a lot of negative reviews.  I sent them an email asking a couple of questions about pay but could not get a straight answer so I skipped it.

I echo some of the same sentiments as everyone else in this thread. There are numerous remote jobs that you can complete from the comfort of your own home, including selling personal arts and crafts (e.g., Etsy, eBay), becoming a virtual or medical assistant, blogging, etc.

Work from home:
https://ratracerebellion.com/home/

https://chitchings.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start

Pretty sure I have seen the rat site before.  Selling Avon is not working from home.  People seem to not grasp the concept of WORKING FROM HOME.  I saw something the other day on a "work from home" site and the first suggestion was driving for Uber.  I don't know how you are going to drive for Uber and not leave home????

If you sell Avon you have to go out and get the sales and you have to deliver the merchandise.  And most areas already have an established Avon rep.  It is like my town, my cousin tried selling Avon.  All she could sell to were family and some friends of her mother.  There is a Avon person in town that has sold for years and that is who most deal with.  And you really do not make that much money from it.  I guess it could be a good way to make a few extra dollars but you certainly won't make any kind of real income from it.

Good idea...it's not worth it if they want all your personal information

Any real job is going to want personal info.  Even this site if you make over $600 you have to provide a SS number.  But no employer is going to have access to the contents of all my emails or text messages.  It paid $14 an hour and is legit. I know someone else who works there.  But when I questioned her about it she said oh that just means the emails they send you.  I said WHY would I need to sign a release form to allow them access to the contents of the emails THEY sent to me?  I think she just agreed to every thing and did not pay attention to what it said.

I would love to find a way to make a full time income working from home.  And some people do end up making it big with a blog.  There is a guy I use to get his little news letter and he just done it on the side and now he is huge and he does make a lot of money from it.  Thru referrals to sites like this and off ads on his site.  And I am sure affiliate marketing.  HE has well over 100,000 subscribers.  But it took a long time to get to that point.  And he is very open with his life.  I personally am not willing to put my whole life out there for the cyber world to see.

At my company (where I go into the office) they have access to our email but it is only the work domain where they can look at everything that you send and receive. I wouldn't do that on a personal email domain.

One of the jobs I like best is Secret Shopper, some of the shops are on the phone or computer, some in person.  I rarely pay for groceries because of the shops I do for grocery stores.  We go out to each 2 or 3 times a week free because of restaurant and fast food shops. (For every meal).  You can take jobs or not on your own time schedule.

I've done a couple of Secret Shops or as it's sometimes referred to, Mystery Shops.  It's been a long time but I have thought about looking into it again, especially since there are some opportunities online and by phone.  I'll probably start researching companies to see what's out there.

Your work email I can understand I guess.  No this was MY personal email and MY personal texts on my phone.  I would not agree to that with any job.  If nothing else I would just create a new email and give them that and only use it for communication with them so they would not have anything but the things they sent to me.  I worked for a company a while back that every one had a work email.  I never thought about the fact that the "theys" probably had access to everything sent and received.  I did not do anything that was not strictly business.

Do you not pay for it yourself and then they reimburse you up to a certain amount?  I am not understanding how you can get all your groceries for free.  I have looked at the secret shopper and even signed up with a company.  It was very specific and not that much you could get.  For example one was a fast food shop and they would reimburse you up to $7 and the shop paid $7.  I got paid after I submitted all the paper work.  And it took 45-60 days to get paid.

There are not that many shops in my area.  I guess it depends on where you live.  I know some people do get a lot.  But no where near getting all their groceries for free.

Some people are making a very good living with you tube.  I don't know how you feel about you tube but, especially animal videos make a LOT of money.  I have videos running on my TV all the time that earn me money and, my favorite one to run, has a net worth of $600,000.  There's an 8 yr old kid that is worth 8 million from you tube videos.
