We had our Granddaughter this past weekend and she said 'Nana Mommys boyfriend told me that Daddy doesn't care about me and that made me sad".....My Son is her Daddy and he loves her so much and would do ANYTHING for her. My son broke up with her Mom years ago. Why do some guys have to be a jerk and try and turn a child against their Daddy? ...She is 7 years old and this breaks  my heart

Aww. I am so sorry. Children get caught up in things they shouldn't be. Ultimately they are the ones that truly get hurt. Hopefully she will see that her bio dad really loves her.

That breaks my heart to hear parents should not use the children against each other the child loves both parents regardless of how they feel about each other and they have to meet on equal terms in the middle for the child

                   Well, the boyfriend sounds like a real jerk.   Even if that was true or he really believed it, he should not have said that to a seven year old.

That is horrible. I am always amazed t how non-thinking, selfish and insensitive people can be. Children need to believe that their parents are the best and love them with every ounce of their existence. Anything less than that certainly casts doubts in their minds as to their very own level of goodness. I have seen a single parent talk bad about their ex-spouse, in front of their children, and watched as the child's expression changed from happy innocence to introspection. My wife and I have our differences but I would not bad mouth her in front of the children. I am always quick to compliment her and point out the wonderful things she does as well as reassuring the children that they are the most wonderful things in our lives. My children are both a tad over twenty one and, although independent, still receive positive messages about their mother from me.

Sorry that your grandchild has to endure stupidity however, every opportunity you get, you can lavish love on your grandchild.  Your son should be doing the same .

So  sad.  I had a similar situation.  My boy friend bad mouthing my kids dad.  I just informed him I don't do that to my kids.

There is really no excuse for this kind of cruelty. That comes straight from a heart of hate or pain.
