I Moved away from Wisconsin (to Colorado) because of the dreadful weather and high taxes. When living in Wisconsin we would have a Holiday every day which is a tradition that I carried with me to Wisconsin. Today, for instance, is National Chocolate Covered Everything Day. More popular days, for me, were Sweetest Day and Saint Nicholas Day. I personally do not see most holiday celebration as pagan. I spent most of my College electives on different world religions and only one comes to mind that had an aversion to certain holidays (Birthdays and Christmas at the top of the list). I have an in-law that subscribes to this particular (newer) religion and they have a list of other tenets that do not generally fit in with the general mainstream religions. To each his/her own.

Yes, I'm a Christian but for many many years my family celebrated but now that i'm older I'm wondering if it's really necessary.

I was brought up a catholic.As a child we loved Xmas.Whats better then getting gifts and partying.

The tradition is still hard to break away from even if you do your research and see its NOT supported by the bible.

Some examples.Jesus was 33 yrs old when he was executed.All those yrs he lived as a man 12/25 is not supported and there are no celebrations or commanded RE his birthday.Actually there are 2 BDs mentioned in bible.Both ended as executions with John The Baptist the more famous.

Would you support something from an enemy of yours?Of course not.Satan is an enemy of Gods and lots of these celebrations started with pagan gods.Jehovah says clearly he wont share his glory with any of them.

Like i said,traditions are hard to break and u have the influence of a Satanic world.Its not EZ.I guess it depends how much we REALLY wanna please The TRUE God.

Brought up Catholic.  Celebrated Christmas as the birth of baby Jesus.  Celebrated Christmas in church and also commercially.

What matters to me, though, is that Christmas gives us an extra special time to ponder Jesus' birth and Easter gives us an extra special time to ponder Jesus' death and resurrection. It also means special extended family time to me, which is what I live for, LOL!

If Jesus never died his birth would mean nothing to mankind.After he dismisssed Judas he gave the command to the other 11 and mankind to remember that night he was to be executed as a sinless man to ransom the life Adam threw away.

It is such a good thing to live in a country where I get to choose what I want to believe.  I can choose to acknowledge the end of December as a season representing what I believe to be the birth of Jesus Christ, My Savior and Lord. I choose also to celebrate everyday for the very same reason.  I have heard about it being a pagan holiday.  That does not change my belief.  I also choose to allow others to believe what they want.

I have never heard of the holidays as being pegan. I'm a christian and we celebrate the birth of Jesus along with the fun part with Santa.

For me and my family it is a Christian celebration of our Lord Jesus, the son of God.

Traditions are hard to break and i have learned that even logical truth isnt enuff to get thru to many that are blinded.
