Annual Flu Shot

Do you get a yearly flu shot?  I do not and I never get the flu thank goodness. I did get one years back because where I worked kept harping at you and wouldn't take no for an answer. But I haven't since I just get a negative feeling about them so I don't take them.

Nope and don't ever plan on getting one.  I've had the flu once in my life about 15 years ago.  I do my best to be healthy and keep my immune system healthy.  I rarely get sick knock on wood.

I also worked at a place that pushed getting a shot.  That was the only time I have ever had one and I don't intend on getting one.

No, I don't get a annual flu shot, there is just so many potential side effects.  I try to practice good health habits so hopefully I won't get it.

Let them harp.  I have been in the situation and every one who got the shot got the flu.  I did not take the shot and did not get sick.  Then everyone got mad at me a second time.  The first when I refused the shot and the 2nd when I did not get sick and they all did. lol

Every year my doctor's office asks if I want a Flu Shot or a Pneumonia Shot.  I tell them every year that I don't want the shots.

I don't like getting them, but I think it is a good precaution for everyone who can to get vaccinations. They may have prevented a lot of epidemics and pandemics by doing so. At least that's according to the CDC and they're a pretty reliable source.

I have vacillated on the answer to this question over time.

No and when my kids finally got the flu I overheard their dr talking about that decision in a negative way. Im replacing her whwn I move.

It always makes people in my family sick, my kids have only gotten sick once thank God.

I don't get it as I don't get the flu but seems doctors really like to push it. It is weird to me and makes me wonder. I am not against vaccinations and get what is needed for me and my child but just don't get the flu one.

Yes I get the senior flu shot every year. It seems to work because I never get the flu. But I do have a reaction to the shot - I feel sore in all my muscles and pretty lousy in general for about a day after the shot.

i have never gotten the shot except one time and got sick afterwards..have had the flu maybe twice in my life..i am 57...but with age..it might be best to start getting it..

I got my flu shot through work and it was free since I had health insurance through my employer.
