Does anybody remember Hershey syrup in cans?

I grew up with Hershey's syrup in a can.  We would take one of those pointed can openers and make a triangular cut right through the metal lid of the can on both sides, then pour!  The last time I bought Hershey's syrup in a plastic bottle, I ended up throwing it away.  It doesn't taste anything like I remembered.  In fact, I rarely find a chocolate product that tastes like that rich, luscious chocolate flavor of old.  Maybe my taste buds have changed.

I recently got the Nesquik syrup and it is a lot better.  I do wonder if they are doing something different with hershey because it is not as good as I remember from the past.

I do remember them in a can. I forgot about that, God I'm old! 😁

i too remember it in cans but havent used in years like others so i dont know if it still exists in stores

I DO, I DO!  It sure was tastier than that brown crap you get out of a plastic tube today!

I remember Hershey's syrup in a can.  You had to use a tool to puncture it in order to pour out the syrup, but it was delicious.  You could always count on it for making the best chocolate milk.

Yes, I remember that, also.  It does seem it used to be thicker.  It's been so long, though, I don't remember the taste to compare it to todays.

Yes, I do.  My Mom always purchased it to make milk shakes everybody, which means all my siblings.

I remember that. I use to get it, but now it's the plastic bottle. I wonder if they still make it in the can?
